Title: Terrain problem... Post by: MaxisManiac on 2006 October 29, 23:29:55 In my neighborhood screen, all the terrain is the natural grassy green that comes with the game, however, when playing a lot and looking at the neighborhood from there, it's a sandy beach terrain, which is...odd. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?

Is the lot close to water? Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: Brynne on 2006 October 30, 05:12:56 I had that issue before reinstalling and installing Pets.
I have no idea what caused it. This was of absolutely no help, and I do apologize. Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: cwykes on 2006 October 30, 09:20:48 I had problems in base game only with lots whose terrain I was trying to change. Never did find out why. Buying OFB fixed them.
Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: FrickinIdjit on 2006 October 30, 13:43:16 I see that all the time when I change the neighborhood's terrain type. If you move the lot and go back in, it should fix it.
Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: cwykes on 2006 November 08, 08:38:15 It never did in my base game, that was the problem. I think that got fixed in Uni. Now I have OFB, terrain changes seem to work right.
Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: Li'l Brudder on 2006 November 09, 03:21:11 If your lot is near water, the lot "grass" will be sand.
Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: Avalikia on 2006 November 09, 06:15:19 I've had a house do that too. Side effect of having beachfront property, I guess. Unfortunately it also made the entire neighborhood appear to be sand when viewed from within the lot, and it wasn't pretty.
Title: Re: Terrain problem... Post by: Nec on 2006 November 09, 08:18:04 I recently came across something similar when changing terrains. All i had to do was pick up the lots and put them back in the same place. Then they showed the real terrain. Did you use the change terrain cheat?
