Title: FYI - Censor Blur Remover Updated for Pets
Post by: RainbowTigress on 2006 October 27, 01:52:08
Quaxi has updated the censor blur remover for Pets.  I'm not exactly sure what has changed, but he says it works 100% with Pets.

No Censor Blur for Pets
October 20th, 2006

I have created a new Version of the No Censor Blur available, that will now work 100% with The Sims 2 - Pets (Older Versions are also available).

As you might know, this patch works with almost any game version and does not cause conflicts with other hacks or downloads for your game. Since it is only changing the shader that is producing the blur grid, it is probably the safest way to remove the blur from your game. And it has no permanent effects. When you delete the patch, the blur just works as usual.

For more Informations or to download the patch, please visit the No Blur Page.

I wonder if I still have another version of this in my downloads folder somewhere. As of right now, my Sims are all losing their entire bodies when they get naked, it seems.

I didn't know the censor needed an update - I've been using the "old" version (I believe it was from NL) for OFB and Pets, and everything has worked fine so far ...  ???

This is why I keep a subfolder in my downloads folder called "Hacks" I got sick of searching through all my files for hacks everytime an EP comes out. This way, I can just delete all my hacks without having to search forever for them.

I had the same experience, selzi.  I think I updated mine after OFB, but it was working fine in Pets.  Crammyboy's nudist hack has not caused problems either.

Even so, I updated to the Pets approved censor blur anyway.  Anything to protect againt the big, fiery ball...

I do the exact same thing. Currently all I have are some mods by JM, TwoJeffs and Syberspunk, so I really have no idea what's causing it. If it's not the no blur thing, then I have no idea.

Yeah, you've got a point.  :D That's why I downloaded the new version a couple of seconds ago.  ;D
