INSTRUCTIONS:
Place in your MYDOCU~1\EAGAME~1\THESIM~1\DOWNLO~1 directory.

FEATURES:
Sims will now run when called over if they are active or the distance they have
to travel is very far, rather than ambling across the lot at 2 mph taking 3
hours to cross the other side, then turning around and going home because they
need to pee now.

If sim called over is a pet and has learned the "Come here" command, a dog
will run over quickly. A cat might...if it wants to.

COMPATIBILITY:
This hack is compatible with all FFS hacks. For TS2OFB - TS2PETS.

SIDE EFFECTS:
May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death,
and/or halitosis.

WARNING:
Do not open, crush, dispose of in fire, put in backwards, short-circuit, or mix
with non-awesome hacks - may explode, leak, or catch fire, resulting in injury
and/or death.

Good, because those pets are slow as hell.  :P

So is the cats feeling like it completely random or based on mood and/or relationship?

Pets should automatically "Come Here" if a sim enters the kitchen.  ;D

Pretty much random. Cats are cats. You're lucky that they come at all.

Haha, yes. Or maybe we need an electric can opener object that makes all cats on the lot immediately drop their queue and come running to it.  ;)

Cats have a strange affinity for can openers that defies the obvious food-based explanation. Because I have never fed my cat canned food, and he has no reason to expect food from a can, but he comes running anyway...not because he expects food, as far as I can tell, but just to watch.

Would it be possible to incorporate this change in to other items that use a "Come Here"-type action? For example: the bath tubs and mirrors. If you elect to wash your dog or change its appearance and it's on the other side of the lot, it will still leisurely walk its way to the tub/mirror instead of running as if the "Come Here" command had been issued.

Possible, but not a practical thing given how many options there are. Call them over manually first. :P
