I think I might get it. Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: Rose Outlaw on 2006 October 21, 23:36:45 Very green and very cosy looking. :)
Looks like a perfect hideout for a pack of wolves... Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: MaximilianPS on 2006 October 21, 23:41:28 Looks like a perfect hideout for a pack of wolves... indeed on the left, near the graveyard live is the (http://www.max3d.it/SimSite/Stuff/Della-Morte-Family-tumb.jpg) "della morte" family, they are just looking for a Werewolf :) Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: kutto on 2006 October 22, 00:48:33 Did OMGPETS enable railroads to be imported from SC4? Or is that some custom decoration?
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 October 22, 00:51:52 I think that's the default "Aqueduct" decoration. Is that a cooling tower for a nuclear plant I see?
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: nectere on 2006 October 22, 01:04:45 There is also a monorail that could be the train he is referring to, and yes a cooling tower, also the carosel is included as well as the wind power thingie and some ancient ruins etc. Basically a little bit of new stuff everywhere...except plants.
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: Rose Outlaw on 2006 October 22, 09:30:02 Ancient ruins? Huh? Could this mean I can kick that Stonehenge style deco to trash?
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: MaximilianPS on 2006 October 22, 09:48:52 indeed ... the train is a moonrail.. there is a cooling tower for a nuclear plant, and some decoration coming directly from SC4, Stonehenge and and an ancient graveyard...
there are also some new stones, and 2 new group of plants. (http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9051/screenhunter1bz8.jpg) i wonder why the game compress so much the jpg .. the quality is at the best.. bha :P Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: Akharra on 2006 October 22, 16:39:55 WoW! I got this yesterday. Great neighborhood. Thanks!
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: rohina on 2006 October 22, 17:30:52 Stonehenge sold me. I downloaded as well.
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: cwykes on 2006 October 23, 13:41:25 I guess you're gonna need Pets to install it right? And all the other hoods too?
Looks nice but I'm sticking at base game +OFB for now :( Would it make a good downtown? If so, you might want to see if you could convert it to a new default downtown. We have 3 choices of Uni, but only 1 Downtown. It's not hard to do and that way people can add it to their favourite hood and would probably use it more. You'll have one customer - Motoki said he'd quite like an alternative to the maxis downtown. How to do it is here http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,3996.0.html Marvin Kosh figured most of it out not me. I just figured out the last bit and made an alternative to Bluewater. http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,5733.0.html Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: MaximilianPS on 2006 October 23, 17:32:37 I guess you're gonna need Pets to install it right? And all the other hoods too? Looks nice but I'm sticking at base game +OFB for now :( nope absolulty, you didn't need any EP to use this, and all other, hoods :) they are just terrains made with SimCity4, so copy it on the SC4Terrains on your "EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains" and create a new hood. it's a bit big for a downtown, so maybe you will prefear to use it as main hood. Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: Motoki on 2006 October 23, 17:45:44 Cwykes: I downloaded it and may indeed try to make it an alternate downtown (since I already have an alternate shopping district ;) ) but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use it yourself as another shopping district. It don't think there's anything Pets specific in it.
I don't recall when the Carousel was added though. OFB I think? I don't think it shipped with the base game. Max: I have more sims living in my downtown and Shopping districts than I do in the main neighborhood. My main one is actually kind of small. It's a custom, crescent shaped island that looks cute but can't really fit too much so I'm glad we have the subneighborhoods. It also means we can try out new terrains without having to start a new neighborhood. Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: jrd on 2006 October 23, 18:11:10 The carousel is a hidden item in either OFB or GLS. Numenor unlocked it.
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: nectere on 2006 October 23, 19:51:57 There are a couple of things that were previously hidden in other EPs that have been included with pets, the Karo-sell, the cricket bats, the wind power dealiebopper. So you no longer need to keep those items in if you previously dl the ones that Numenor unlocked.
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: LynnMar on 2006 October 23, 21:00:48 I looked through Numenor's posts over at MTS and I could not find those particilur items. What part of the forum are the unlocked maxi items kept. thanks
I really like your neighborhood, good job. If my processor was not so slow I would download it but I like to keep my hoods at only one, one dt, one college and one OFB shopping district. :( Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: Motoki on 2006 October 23, 21:01:43 Lynn: If you click on his profile it will show you all the downloads he posted. A good portion of them are Maxis Lost and Found stuff.
Title: Re: i wish to show to ya Post by: LynnMar on 2006 October 23, 21:20:38 thanks Motoki, I found them. he does some awesome work.
