Title: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: FrickinIdjit on 2006 October 17, 23:33:01 I apologize if someone has asked about this before - a search turned up nothing.
I recently installed OFB and was horrified at how quickly my sims' Comfort depletes at the craft stations. They can stand at their easels for hours without suffering as badly as they do while trying to throw a few daisies in a vase. (Painting pays better too.) Is the same true in other players' games, or did I just get lucky? Title: Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: Karen on 2006 October 17, 23:41:27 That's normal (unfortunately). If you have Macrotastics installed, you can compensate for this somewhat by using the Macro...Skillinate....Robotery/Floristry/Toycrafting, which forces your Sim to take a break when comfort gets too low.

Why in the world would they make the things so painful to use? Building the stuff doesn't even satisfy a want like painting a masterpiece does. Stoopid! /RANT

Title: Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: eamethyst on 2006 October 18, 01:14:51 This is precisely why I always have my sims earn their floristry badge first. If you place snapdragons around the crafting stations, it refills their comfort (and all other needs, other than energy), so they don't have to take as many breaks. And if they are perma plat, I send them to the energizer when they break from crafting and then send them back.
Title: Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: Flamingo on 2006 October 18, 01:32:02 Yes, crafted goods are definitely useful. The only thing I don't get much use out of is the toy station. That and I wish the gold badge didn't take such an unbelievably long time to get, though. It gets awfully annoying not knowing how far it is to go as well, even though I know you can check using an object spawned with the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true cheat.
Title: Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 October 18, 02:15:13 The toy station is, predictably, mostly useless. None of the toys grant skillpoints. The only toy that has any meaningful effect is the evil jack in the box, which is useful in housebreaking toddlers because it makes them want to pee.
Title: Re: Comfort tanked at craft stations - Normal? Post by: eamethyst on 2006 October 18, 14:00:56 I've found the evil kite to be useful a time or two.
