i just need one dorm so why to have an entire hood for one dorm. Any guide, help, tips, how to place a dormies on the base hood ? it's alot of time that i'm looking for an answare ??? Dorms can only be created in a University. Once created and played it can be packaged to the lots bin. Somewhere there is a way of changing the lot type (change it to residential) Once classed as residential, you can plop it into your base neighborhood. Post by: MaximilianPS on 2006 October 01, 21:51:22 Not my scene, but you sound desparate ;) something like that ... bored to have 2 an empty uni hood, more than other :)ah... yes.. that should work, i could use the cheat "changeLotZoning" i'll try it thnx :-* that work.. but only for the stundets inside the dorm. if you have some guys on the uni's catalog you can't put em on the "customed dorm" 'cause you didn't have 'em on the base hood but just on the uni's hood :\ that's a problem.... I've even had it mess up with only NPC's living in the dorm when changing the zoning while still in the Uni sub-hood. And since YA's only exist in Uni neighborhoods, it's an extra bad idea to move them to a regular neighborhood. Basically, you'd just be begging to have that lot go kaplooie.

Are you trying to put the building in a main hood and have your (non-YA) sim live with non-controllable sims? Or are you trying to find a way that your YA sim can live in the main neighbourhood and still be a uni student, rather than having to live in an empty Uni hood?
