Title: Hack Request: No Autonomous Bookcases Post by: sbt on 2006 September 24, 12:40:53 If this is in the wrong section, so sorry.
Is there a possible way to make all bookcases in game so that no Sim uses any of them without us selecting it for them please? Like for example, there are wonderful bathroom shelves created with bookcase interactions. So you put them in the bathroom by the toilet and tub and even though the living room is full of bookcases the sims walk to the bathroom and complain because they cannot get a book from the towel shelf. They read papers on the potty anyways, they don't need books too lol. Have asked at Insimentor how to make individual bookcases nonautonomous but an after thought was to maybe have a global hack for all bookcases and objects that have those interactions. It is sometimes annoying to find all Sims either reading or diary when other things need to be done. Just because they have a bookcase, do they need to constantly read? lol Thank You for any replies. Thank You JM. Title: Re: Hack Request: No Autonomous Bookcases Post by: Inge on 2006 September 24, 15:27:53 I've got a feeling I already made one of these someone requested but TTYTT I can't actually remember now.

Not sure if he included the categorization of the bookshelves in that. If you're going to remove all bookshelf functionality and render them decorative, you also want to de-categorize them as real bookshelves, or things may get confused when they want to find a bookshelf and find that one, thinking it's real.Thank You JM. |
