Title: Re_colouring hair. Is it safe to delete unused files? Post by: tIIsuggas on 2006 September 13, 21:56:00 If I wish to re-colour a single gender and age hair colour, is it safe to delete all the other extra files.
Eg: I wish to re-colour hair for a young adult male only, can I delete all the other files from the projects folder that don't belong to the young adult? Will deleting the files, muck up my body shop/CAS? What hair will all the other ages end up with when I choose them? I was pondering on testing this for myself, but I don't fancy Body Shop crashing because I messed up something. I also don't want to load Body Shop (which takes an age in itself), to export files, exit Body Shop, delete files, re-load Body Shop. Title: Re: Re_colouring hair. Is it safe to delete unused files? Also, a tip to make the loading times more bearable: Remove all of the files that you won't be using, especially those that don't pertain to Bodyshop (like objects). Title: Re: Re_colouring hair. Is it safe to delete unused files? Post by: tIIsuggas on 2006 September 14, 06:44:56 *baaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Don't delete them while you work with it in bodyshop. I've deleted all unused ages on all my downloaded hair (and trust me, I have a lot of hair) and I've never had any problem with it. If you later try to recolour a hair in bodyshop that has some textures removed, bodyshop can handle that just fine. Either it will copy some maxis hair for those ages, or it will just leave the hair without them. If you have a YA with a hairstyle that is only available for YAs, then I believe he'll get a (random?) maxis hairstyle when he ages. I know he won't go bald, and it won't crash your game. |
