Title: Font Problem
Post by: kutto on 2006 August 10, 21:43:10
I'm not sure how this happened. I restarted my computer, and once it comes back up, the font size on my internet explorer are tiny. Most of them are too small to read. I've messed around with the options, but I can't find out how to get it back to where it was before. As far as I know, I let the websites decide what font and what size to use, but setting it to do that is just as small as before.

Help.  :'(

In IE : View > Text size > Small

Happened to me yesterday at work. I think it was Immy that told me how to fix it.

Well, then Immy gets a cookie, too.

Does your mouse have a wheel by any chance?  If you hold Ctrl and move the mouse wheel at the same time it changes the text size.  That's happened to me frequently because there's this website I go to where I use that button all the time and if I try to scroll with the mouse at the same time my text changes sizes.  The same mishap has occured other times when I'm using lots of keyboard shortcuts, so that could be what happened to you.

Why are you using that Swiss cheese of a browser (IE) in the first place, when you could run a slicker, faster, and leaner Firefox?  And not worry about your fonts suddenly changing?

Because going to download it would require effort.  IE came with my computer so it required no effort.  Yes, I am that lazy. :D

I actually have Firefox. I just don't like using it as much.

Please. Use a better browser. If you don't like Firefox, why not try Opera (http://www.opera.com)?

I prefer the theory that every browser is as good (or bad) as the user using it.

Plus, Opera is lame ;)

Telling someone to change which browser they use is like telling them to change which style of underwear they wear.  They aren't going to do it just because you tell them to.
