More Awesome Than You!

Does anyone else get insanely frustrated when employees when they go ilde and wander in front of the registers, blocking customers who get angry and throw their bags down and thus, causing complete mayhem and makking you want to kill them?

Well I've got a good idea.

Someone needs to make a hack that draws the idle employees to a item, so they quietly stay idle, out of the way of other busy employees (restockers, cash registers, salepeople). just a wild thought...

If your employees are going idle and blocking registers, it sounds like you need Business Runs You to get their lazy asses back to work!

I have problems with customers hanging in front of the register, blocking the way for people who want to pay.

Now THAT, I have an unreleased hack for. I go find that.

Try "nohelpatregister" in ofb/test. It should eliminate the desire of customers to stand in front of the register, spinning for 3 hours and obstructing the path, by disallowing this behavior if they are too close.

Does it also prevent people from doing idiotic stuff like "hang out" in front of the register?

Squinge has a bunch of hacks to control stupid behaviour in shops, and one of them is a 'no hang out in shops' thing. They're all over on insiminator.net.


(P.S. -- he also has a 'moveawayfromregister' hack out for a couple of months now :) )

I want my customers to be able to hang out.  Just not in front of the register.
And Squinge is not awesome.  Good, but not awesome.

I have all your hacks JM. I wouldn't touch the game without them. It's just when employees have absolutely nothing to do at the end of the day, and the remaining customers are checking out, the employees wander in front of the cash register. Plus I just thought it would be tidying micro management to make employee who have nothing to do at the moment; to move their ass out of the way.

Also, if anyone ever made this kind of hack, make it so the damn "I'm a moron, I can't find what I'm looking for in a shop that sells ONE THING" goes to a certain spot, instead of finding their way to some far off spot that I'll never see them before they get pissed.

I'm stupid, so I have to ask: Where is this OBF/TEST area you were talking about?
