Title: hack request
Post by: verdaeni on 2006 July 26, 04:48:59
ive got most of my sims appropriately dressed with inge's flowers in the halls making them all go normal.   but the toddlers are a problem.   first of all when they take a bath why shouldnt they change to normal like adults?  ditto for changing their diapers, frequently done in early morning.  actually i think they should be in jammies only inside the crib.  is this possible and how badly do i have to suck up to get it?

I'd actually like the toddlers to change into their everyday outfit after taking a bath too. I really don't know why they don't!

I've generally given up on on having toddler's in every day clothes. About the only time i change them into the every day outfit is right before they transition to a child.

I think the reasoning behind bath --> pjs is that a lot of parents bathe their kids before putting them in bed. Althouuuuugh, it could just be something the programmers missed.

I consider trying to put a toddler in anything other than its babysuit to be a lost cause. It ends quickly anyway.

Actually, my toddler's usually get potty trained right away, so they never really use the changing table. The only time they do is when there's an extenuating circumstance - i.e. twins, or parents with bad work schedules and no teens in the house, meaning the poor tots are subject to the whim of the nanny (who doesn't seem to understand that putting a child with a low bladder into the crib to sleep when their energy bar is still half way full is a bad idea).

Yeah, I don't mind them being in their pj's if they end up with a tuxedo :D

Atavera's toddler sleep mat at modthesims...   :D

That will solve all your problems... Though, I strongly suggest you play with testingcheats on, as it becomes unuseable on occasion and needs a good 'force error' to sort it out.. My toddlers no longer wear PJs... EVER! Huzzah!

Actually, I should see if it's been updated... The creator may have sorted out it's issues by now.

Ohh yet again-I forgot about the sleep rug :D I've got it, but I never use it!

I've wondered about that sleep rug and the baby controller...  will they work together?

Yes, they do.  If no one shows up to put the toddler in the crib, the baby controller sends it off to the sleep rug.

Okay.

"Hey, Ness. Download it when you get home from work."

This has been a courtesy reminder from Brynne.

If you should forget, anyway, just refer back to this thread.  ;)

The sleep mat is a freaking godsend. No more toddlers screaming to be let out of their crib, or trying to force the parents to stop whatever stupid task they're up to in order to get the toddler to bed. It can crawl over to its mat and sleep on its own. If I ever bother with cribs anymore, they're purely decorative.

/me also reminds Ness to download when she's done working

I agree Dylan, the blanket is a great item. I'm right behind you, checking to see if it's updated.

LOL, Emma. I forgot about it frequently too when I first got it, now I refuse to play without it. Besides, you're entitled to be quirky. Have some pickles and ice-cream dear :D

It would be really cool if the sleep blanket properties could be incorporated into a toddler bed mesh.

its not hopeless even without the sleep matt.  i use inge's  vase of flowers to force clothes change, and i have it in all hallways.  so everyone changes as they come in from work, or out of bedrooms.  only  the toddlers toys tend to be in their bedroom, so they dont get hit.    they are great though for everyone else.   my toddlers dont all end soon though,  especially after they get walking talking and taking themselves to potty.  they are so cute.  if we could hack them up and down the stairs they'd stay there a long time.
