Title: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: Kokopelli on 2006 July 22, 05:12:02 I ask only for my curiousity. I was playing it tonight and Olive finally died(gotta love ageing off). Ophellia grew up kinda good, but the ghosts got her while she was cleaning up the puddles.
After Grim took her, I saved and left. When I went back, two ghosts were going crazy, their panel photo or whatever was going back and forth, fast I might add. I decided to bulldose that house. Question is, was that a smart thing to do? I don't want dangeling SWAF's every which way. I am quite fond of Strangetown and hate to lost all my hard play.. err work. Title: Re: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: liegenschonheit on 2006 July 22, 05:37:05 yeah, that was probably bad.
Title: Re: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 July 22, 05:51:05 Destruction of the house PROBABLY won't adversely affect the neighborhood as long as the sims were saved. Destruction of the sims via sim bin or exportation, however is a BFBVFS waiting to happen.
Title: Re: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: Kokopelli on 2006 July 22, 05:55:08 That's good to know. I have no sims in the bin anymore everyone has a place to live. I started a new Strangetown after I "deleted" Loki & Circe (stupid me). IT was worth it seeing Vidcund getting abducted again.

Title: Re: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: jsalemi on 2006 July 27, 19:29:17 If you wanted to get Ophelia's house back then uninstall the game then reinstall. Um, no, all you have to do is move or rename the 'The Sims 2' folder under 'My Documents/EA Games', and the game will recreate the default neighborhoods next time you start it. No need to do a complete uninstall/reinstall. Title: Re: Deleting Specter House, good or bad thing to do? Post by: Dea on 2006 July 27, 21:09:18 Or you can copy and paste the N002 from ProgramFiles/EAGames/TheSims2/TSData/Res/Userdata/Neighborhoods to MyDocuments/EaGames/TheSims2/Neighborhoods. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the game is a bit much just to get a house back.
