1. Sims no longer obsessed with eating at restaurants in endless loops when not
   full, or drinking coffee when not tired. Also cuts down desire for sims to
   commit bladdericide from the above.
2. Seats occupied by your sims & bar patrons less likely to clash with host
   seating assignments, resulting in queue stompage. Queue stompage BAD!

COMPATIBILITY:
Compatible with all FFS hacks. Tested for TS2OFBp2.

SIDE EFFECTS:
May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death,
and/or halitosis.

WARNING:

Am I correct in thinking this replaces Crammyboy's 'restaurant hunger fix', or should we still use both?

I've only tried this one time but I noticed that when my sim bought coffee for another sim, the other person did not take her coffee, she simply walked away.  Is this a side effect if perhaps she wasn't tired enough?  I was indeed pleased with the lack of a crowd in front of the espresso cart.

It's possible, but shouldn't have interfered with pushed actions, only autonomous selection. More likely it was conventional route blockage and timeout.

Does this hack also stop waiters from going to get coffee across the lot instead of doing their job?

I believe the compulsive desire of waiters to stalk across the lot so they can throw away all of the barista's coffee is covered in the Coffee Cup Hack.

It does not apply to the owner on the other hand.  I have been using the coffeecup mod for awhile and when the shop is open the owner will rush to the expresso bar whenever it have a chance too.

I can't wait to try this out.  I have been going nuts because of the swarm of sims around the coffee bar.  Last night, my sim tried and tried to get coffee until she was about to pass out.  Every time she got close enough to buy coffee, one of the townies would butt in front of her, and they didn't need it!  When she finally got up to the counter, the command timed out, so someone else got in front of her.  She finally got a cup of coffee, which was enough to get her home where she could caffeinate properly.   >:(  I'm hoping this will fix that type of situation.

I had this too twice? Although its worth it to keep the crowds away (even if my new shiny romance coffee sim is looking deathly bored by lack of customers). I still get the points for the "buy coffee for a sim" they just don't collect or drink it.

does this affect sims from buying drinks from normal bars?

I started a home business and i bought a bar here is what happens:

if i just make a bunch of drinks and leave it on top of the bar, lots of sims will come to get a glass, however if i assign a sim to be bartender, no one will buy drinks...

and also no one will buy coffe from my expresso bar.. strange

That's probably because you can't run restaurant/cafe type businesses on a home lot (at least not without hacks).  Home lots can only be sales-oriented, not service oriented.

oh!!! so i guess that expresso bar in my home catalog was probably included in my game by a downloaded house package...

however the bars ARE supposed to be at the home catalog, so why is there a option to be bartender in homebusiness?

They were originally for home entertainment -- they've been there since before OFB (I believe Uni added them). Someone in the house/dorm could be the bartender to ensure that all the party guests had 'juice' to drink. OFB didn't change their function on home lots.

Oh, and you can also hire a bartender by phone; the bar just won't autogenerate one like it does on a community lot. Still won't let you charge for it, though. 

Actually you can, and it doesn't need hacks, but depending on the item you want, you may have to be creative to get them on the lot.

It seems that the restaurantbarfix dated 15 july 2006 from the NL version of moreawesomethanyou.zip makes a community lot of mine crash to desktop, repeatedly (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,5340.msg153246.html#msg153246). I'm running Nightlife + NL Patch 2. It is only the restaurantbarfix that's the problem - with it removed and all other custom content & hacks intact, the lot is playable. And yes - the lot is a restaurant.

Lemme check why that happens. I bet it's that random "completely senseless and totally inconsistent robot-related crash bug" again. It is somewhat of a mystery why this happens sometimes and not others, or why the game crashes on code that it never actually runs. Try the new NL-only version just uploaded.

I just tried the latest Restaurant Fix for NL and it crashes me to the desktop just like last version. Checked it in a vanilla game and it still does it.

This sounds great, I can't wait to try it! My sims love having customers when they're the baristas, but trying to buy a cup of coffee can take forever! ::)

Well, I'm just mystified, and it's really not a huge issue in NL anyway, so I'm just going to declare this OFB-only. The NL engine seems to be just too buggy.

That's too bad, but then again, I never noticed this to be as much of a problem until I installed OFB.  ???

is this compatible with the eatmoretalkless hack?  It seems since i installed this one sims have been conversing almost as much as they did without the eatmore hack.

Perhaps its in my head... but im sure they are talking more...

I wouldn't know anything about that. The officially supported FFS version is "noeatcrap". I wouldn't know what the Crammyian version does.

I have eatmoretalkless and this mod.  According to my conflict scanner they don't get in eachother's way, and I haven't had any trouble.

hmm maybe its something else thats doing it then.
I dunno how i lived for so long without that hack to be quite honest!

Hello everyone! Quick question: I have not had anyone swarm the podium and this is good, but my seems that my sim is told that the restaurant is full or all of the seats have been reserved by another group. Where it appears to me that never is the case. there is no one seated at all. My sim was hungry....any ideas?

Sounds like your tables are corrupted. Try replacing all tables?
