Title: Sim Murder Post by: sintrinity on 2006 July 13, 15:33:32 Ok - here's the deal - I can't get my sims to die. I get alot of wants to "see the ghost of ??" but no way to kill them when they totally tick someone off.
I have a legacy family with primarily 0 nice (STILL! and this is gen 5). They autonomously argue, irritate, etc and then want to see the ghost of or "drink" so and so that ticked them off. However, without cheating I have no way of killing anyone. I got the run with scissors thingy - no one died. Does anyone know of a mod that allows a Sim to kill another Sim? Maybe the "attack" option? Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Emma on 2006 July 13, 15:47:53 If you have university you can get the cowplant. That would satisfy the 'drink' someone want.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Nova on 2006 July 13, 16:47:47 The run with scissors works...you just need to keep using it until the job is complete.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: jrd on 2006 July 13, 17:15:24 It also helps if you have the old version. The current one makes death far less likely.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Magicmoon on 2006 July 13, 18:33:20 Does anyone have an autonomous run for scissors version? I think it would be cool for some sim idiot to do it to themselves. I feel guilty if I tell them to use it and they die.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 July 13, 19:42:13 Meh. The old-fashioned "ladderless pool" and "byebye fridge" work for me. ::)
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Kokopelli on 2006 July 13, 23:02:07 I find the broken trash compacter and dishwasher (get sim to fix it when their energy is orange) gets them fried & dead rather nicely.
*ahem, not that I do that..... cough* Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: KatEnigma on 2006 July 13, 23:17:25 Let a toddler play in the toilet, and then move a broken dishwasher, trash compactor, etc into that bathroom. ;) Make sure the Sims has low needs before you start, as well, otherwise he'll get electrocuted and not die. You can always also remove the smoke detectors and then start a fire by leaving something cooking and walking away from it, and then make the Sim go stand in the flames.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Avalikia on 2006 July 13, 23:35:43 Actually I was thinking about this a few days ago. It would be really nice if someone could make a hack that gives the loser of a fight a chance of dying. Adds a little bit more tension to what is otherwise a silly wrestling match.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: JadeEliott on 2006 July 14, 01:20:04 Winter is a modder with a wickedly evil mind and has several neat ways to off a sim:

Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: kutto on 2006 July 14, 02:53:39 From what I'm told, gnome roasts are good lethal fun. Just place 2-4 fire jets on a rug, and surround them with gnomes and sims.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: gethane on 2006 July 14, 05:21:19 i'm am so wussy. I have about 10 sims I want desperately to NOT EXIST ANYMORE. However, killing sims on purpose ruins the game for me (guilt). I know that is stupid. But I can't help it.
I would LOVE a hack that would let me click on a sim and choose MOVE AWAY. And poof, the sims "moves away." If the game thinks the sim is dead, that's fine. As long as I don't have to kill my sim. Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 July 14, 05:25:43 Give Dead Token?
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Pegasys on 2006 July 15, 01:04:04 If you have NightLife, have a vampire nearby just for the explicit purpose of vamping your Sims; then let the doomed Sims romp in the daylight.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: gethane on 2006 July 15, 01:25:09 I don't want to kill my sims. Otherwise that's indeed what I'd do. I just want them to non-violently go away.

It would be really nice if someone could make a hack that gives the loser of a fight a chance of dying. Adds a little bit more tension to what is otherwise a silly wrestling match. I've seen several people asking for this in various places and I'd like this option, too. There'd have to be strict conditions needing to be met though, otherwise I'd have Sims dying all over the place. My new neighbourhood is only a few days old but already I've had my fair share of fights. Also still waiting for the mod that results in the message "Unfortunately, Nanny Useless has been run over by the schoolbus and will need to be replaced by Nanny JustAsUseless"). Oh, how sweet that would be ... Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 July 15, 13:22:40 Sadly, we lack animations for the "ROAD WAFFLE!" death. It'd make a cool ghost, though: It'd be flat, with tire marks on it.

LOL What I would give to see that ghost or even a sim becoming road kill. Only to the stalker sims I might add. Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Ancient Sim on 2006 July 15, 20:15:35 Oh, the thought of a nanny ghost like that. Someone somewhere PLEASE do it. I am sort of seeing the flat ghost in Beetlejuice in my mind as a nanny ... oh, I can't bear it. I must have it.

Move all your unwanted Sims into that house. Use SimPE or a cheat (InSIMinator OBJ edition?) to turn them into babies. Never play that house and presto, you should never see those Sims again. Hmmmm..I don't know for sure, but I suspect if you do that right after the sim leaves for work the social worker will have shown up and removed all of them from the house before the one adult gets back home. That would be fun...(goes off to ponder possibilities...) Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Ambular on 2006 July 15, 21:36:24 Make a house with one adult occupant. Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: croiduire on 2006 July 15, 22:04:48 True...but I was thinking if you actually wanted to get rid of them humanely, and still occasionally play the house, that would be an alternative option.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: Avalikia on 2006 July 16, 00:51:14 However, if you ever wanted to adopt a baby, you'd end up adopting those Sims that you desperately want to get rid of.
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 July 16, 05:43:40 You mean you get sims you desperate wanted to get rid of, as opposed to sims you *STILL* desperately want to get rid of because they look freaky and have shitty personality because they don't let you pick one out at the pound?
Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: sintrinity on 2006 July 18, 10:40:18 Thanks for the links to Winter's mods! Pretty much what I needed I think.
I have tried so many ways but they always seem to fail for whatever reason. For example I had a husband lock his cheating wife in her bedroom with enough food preparing things to create flies but that was when I found that locking the doors to her room doesn't stop service NPCs from going in and cleaning it. I just removed the doors but even then she lived for so long I finally just let her out for her preserverence. Those "non-locking for service NPCS doors" also allows the cowplant to eat nannies while the parents are at work (if you want to guarantee a visit from the social worker). Since the plant seemed to randomly eat people walking by I think those locks may not work on those outgoing sims that invite themselves in too so I just don't use it. I kept just losing people unless I remembered to completely take the gate off. Also, it seems that the robots "do chores" doesn't allow them to die without turning freewill off. I had one take a bubble bath so social, fun and power were red but all she did was run outside trying to recharge (she couldn't because of outside music which I thought was odd but oh well). Finally I locked her up with all 3 still in the red and she just continuously tried to recharge while the social bunny laughed at her. I thought the mad scientist career reward creating a virus could be given to sims but there are no options when the virus is created other than discard. Same husband mentioned above also tried that on his tramp wife thinking maybe she would get ill which would make the death much quicker but no such luck. On the same subject - there should be a mod when sims are getting robbed to wake up to beat the tar out of the robber instead of standing there watching with no interactions available. That is a guaranteed weeks worth of wants to see the robber's ghost and it's not like he will come over if you invite him later. It just isn't right that Captain Hero stands there like an idiot watching the cop lose the fight. Oh well, off to test my new killing options! Thanks again Jade! Who didn't know that you are a girl? Point them to your hilarious stories and articles of yours, Ancient; that'll do it. Sintrinity, that always bugged the hell out of me too. Stupid Sims standing there being utterly useless, while the cop looses the fight. Then they compound that stupidity by bursting out in tears thinking about their stolen stuff. Kick the crap outta that burglar, you stupid wuss. Title: Re: Sim Murder Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 July 19, 01:36:20 I have tried so many ways but they always seem to fail for whatever reason. I kept just losing people unless I remembered to completely take the gate off. You may wish to try Authorized Personnel Only. Unlike funny Maxian locks, Authorized Personnel Only does not grant exception merely for sims that have set themselves in the "leaving" state, so sims are not allowed to enter restricted areas in their quest to attempt to leave.Quote Also, it seems that the robots "do chores" doesn't allow them to die without turning freewill off. Nothing which relies on low motives to kill tends to work on robots, since they don't have any critical killable motives. |
