Title: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: blubug on 2006 July 08, 19:29:26 I can slightly remember that there was a tool that worked with Simpe that listed all your sims and their stuff; like their jobs, marital status, personalities, LTW, and attractions. I can't for the life of me remember where it was or what it was even called to google it. Any ideas?
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 July 08, 19:31:29 I'm too lazy to do a search for anything else. I'm away from my game, so I can't tell you everything, but I know that the Census Tool (see MATY.zip) does at least part of that...in game.
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: blubug on 2006 July 08, 19:36:39 Oh yes the census tool did that! I remember an out-of game tool too but this will do just fine, thanks :)

Post by: blubug on 2006 July 09, 09:09:25 I have that, never used it before though :D Thanks for reminding. After I find suitable matches, I'll check their jobs and LTW's in the database, and start the romance :)
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: ZiggyDoodle on 2006 July 09, 14:01:45 Pegasys' Sims Data Base (linked by skandelouslala) is what you're looking for. Quite fantastic program, albeit I turned slacker and haven't kept my DB up to date. Maybe on the next rainy day....
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: starrling on 2006 July 09, 19:15:32 I use the Find-a-Mate crystal ball just to get a listing of viable candidates. Then I use moveobjectson to sell it back. Pennypincher, ain't I :D
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: blubug on 2006 July 09, 20:47:24 That's what I did too :) But I'm not too satisfied with the results. I only get 2 bolts. I mean, is it even possible that there is not one sim that is perfectly appropriate and looks good enough for my sims?
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: starrling on 2006 July 09, 21:39:54 You could ask TwoJeffs' on the Find-a-Mate thread.
Title: Re: Tool for Listing sims in neighborhood? Post by: twojeffs on 2006 July 09, 21:59:22 It's very possible there isn't a 3 bolter available in hood. Some sims are just picky like that.

Post by: holly on 2006 July 09, 22:28:15 I find that the find a mate cystal ball mainly gives 2 bolters . But they can be generally be made into 3 bolters by changing a hair colour or somthing else phyical,

Pennypincher, ain't I :D I use it to get the list then tele the candidates in via Inge's shrub. Then I ignore it until the next sim (or next generation) on the lot needs it. I primarily use it for making friendships - all my sims are set to favour both genders until they settle down thanks to Lizz Love's gender kite. Using the crystal ball I can find 5 male and 5 female friends for each sim - it may just be my impression, but I find friendships are easier to make if the sim has bolts with the sim they are trying to befriend. Then when the sim is ready to settle down, he or she is already friends with the best matches. |
