Title: Frozen Vampires- a little help needed.
Post by: MyPrecious on 2006 July 04, 19:08:40
Could someone help me out with my Vampire problem please?

I don't have OFB or the other FF? Expansions, just Uni, & Nightlife.

I have waited a long time to see the vampires and finally the grand old boy himself turned up…however the only reason I knew this was because he was stuck at the entry/exit portal? The game stuttered and coughed while he stood there, I could not communicate with him at all, no Sim could. I turned on Boolprop and had a look, tried the de-bug (force error-reset which could have made things worse it's not my best hack). Still nothing, plus I then had a cascade of error messages.

A while later a female vampire turned up at another nightlife lot, the same problem, however, this time I managed to keep up with the error messages and all the townie Sims left and she clicked free and was able to move and chat.

But that was the only time, every single time a vampire appears on my lots he/she freezes. Can anybody suggest a remedy? I would be very grateful. ???

(My graphics' card is above the specs needed and I have a 1GIG Ram, 2.00g processor)

Someone more awesome than me is going to have to decipher your error log, but maybe there's a portal problem?

Crammyboy has a fix for portals here:  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=2171.0

Make sure you have the correct version of this: Youngadults&lazyAnimfix

Thank you both, I have the 1.3 NL version of the lazywalk fix?

EDIT-

I have double checked my download folder and the file did not say NL!? I have re-DL the walk fix for nightlife, I hope it was just one of my blonde moments :-\

Thank you for your help, I will let you know if this fixs it.  :)

;D  FIXED! Thank you jeff, I had copied and pasted the old walkfix file into the downloads folder...durrr. I can now walk and talk with the Vamps.

Thanks again.
