Title: buttons greyed out in cass Post by: LynnMar on 2006 June 26, 00:51:01 when I try to create a sim, I can click on make a sim and then all the buttons are greyed out, I can try on the clothes and delete the clothes but the save and all the rest except forthe cancell button are greyed out.
Could it be that I have too many sims in the neighborhood allready. I have 899 character files in strangetown. I do not have any other hoods to check and see if it is only strangetown. ??? thanks Title: Re: buttons greyed out in cass Post by: Simsbaby on 2006 June 26, 04:20:48 Try making a dummy hood and see if you can make a sim in that one.

fianally I reinstalled and with no downloads except for enable color options in my download folder, I can not even make a sim with the new install and no downloads. It looks normal when I first go into cas, and I click on create a sim, then the hour glass spins and a sim pops up and then the buttons grey out again. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/shortgal/messedup.jpg) I only reinstalled NL, maybe I should install all of them again or should I make a new user profile and install the sims in there. I thought naming the Sim did more for them.
Title: Re: buttons greyed out in cass Post by: Jelenedra on 2006 June 26, 15:12:40 I could be mistaken, but I'm sure, even if you haven't selected anything or named the sim, the check mark will still be lit up. Because you can click on it early and it'll scream at you about not selecting aspirations or turn-ons.

The buttons on the left side pertain to the whole family - they'll be greyed out when you're editing an individual Sim. The checkmark button on the right-side panel (under the 1-6 buttons for all the different option panels) is what you want to click to save the Sim... then you'll be returned to the family screen and the buttons on the left will light up again.

I really thought it was broke, I guess it has been a long time since I made a new sim and it just did not look right to me, I was up half the night taking things out and putting them back and reinstalling. Talk about a space cadet, I think I am certifiable for the looney bin. lol |
