Title: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: BlueSoup on 2006 May 14, 16:50:47 I can't seem to get this hair mesh downloaded, so if anyone can download it and upload it here (it's smaller than the 640K allowed), I would be eternally grateful. I have the colours, I only need the mesh.
Thank you berry much in advance. :-* http://www.xmsims.com/sims2/ehtm/hair/hair20.htm Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: skandelouslala on 2006 May 14, 16:59:57 Try this, I hope it works
XMsims is so damn slow. I was there entirely too long the other day downloading stuff I wanted. Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: BlueSoup on 2006 May 14, 17:05:54 Yay! I thank you and throw cheese at your feet! It downloaded and wasn't a corrupt zip file (which is what I got once from XMSims site), so thanks a lot!

Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: BlueSoup on 2006 May 14, 17:10:17 Darn it, now that I download it, I see it looks much better in pictures than it does on the Sim.
Oh well. Thanks Skandelouslala. ;D Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: holly on 2006 May 14, 20:12:13 mod2the sims has some fantastic recoulors of that mesh.much better than xmsims ,

Post by: liegenschonheit on 2006 May 14, 21:31:37 Also, not to blow my own horn or anything (though how many men would kill to be able to do that?), I also did some recolours of this hairstyle. They aren't anything amazingly special, but just in case you want to check them out:
http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?t=12015 They're also on MTS2, but downloads there haven't been working for me at all today. Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: skandelouslala on 2006 May 14, 21:49:18 I use the recolors from MTS2 as well for this mesh...I like them a lot more than the ones that come with the mesh on the site. A couple of my sims are rockin them now.
Liegen your recolors look nice, will have to download a few :) Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Thanks Skandelouslala. ;D Don'tcha hate it when that happens? I downloaded that "Sanmoo--Femininity" with the tendrills that hang down from MTS2 that looked gorgeous on the pictures, but very strange in game. :( Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: liegenschonheit on 2006 May 14, 23:22:12 Whenever I like an xmsims mesh, I usually end up recolouring it because for some reason their haircolours are really weird.
I know what you mean about hair that looks gorgeous in screenshots looking kind of strange in game, Peggy has some hair that look absolutely gorgeous, then once you look at them in CAS, they look a little bit odd. For the most part though, when you aren't looking at the sims at a very closeup distance, they still look okay Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: holly on 2006 May 15, 02:10:36 they are cool thankyou and binned things are looking up
Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: staroverthebay on 2006 May 15, 18:47:40 I find that many of the meshes from XM sims don't looks so great on my sims. *sigh* Amazingly, the freakin' Maxis meshes seem to look best on my sims. I wonder if my computer just isn't quite up to snuff for this game or something, cuz my sims sure don't look cool like the ones in all the pictures! XD
Title: Re: I need some help with this slow-ass site. Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 21, 03:37:02 I don't seem to use anything but Seomi's hair these days - and all but the first one is correctly binned now, and when I overwrote the earlier files, my sims with the original custom didn't go bald, although I do have to change a few partner's turn-ons!
