Title: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: pioupiou on 2006 May 13, 12:52:53 I have noticed a strange problem with my S2 fit male sims : the skin used for their bottom body is incorrect.
I'm using default remplacements for the maxis skintones ( allan akbar's ones). As far as I can tell there is no problem at all for females, and I only noticed this problem on male sims when they are fit. I noticed it for adult and young adult. Teens and elders I don't know. Here are 2 screenshots to better explain what I'm talking about : (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/pioupiou1717/snapshot_d1517646_51720990.jpg) (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/pioupiou1717/snapshot_d1517646_1172096a.jpg) My sims using custom skintones seems to be fine. What puzzled me is that I only use the female replacements for the default skins, (in order to have nipples on them). Next time I play I will take out the default replacement and see what happen with the maxis original skintones. Any ideas on the problem much welcome Thanks Pioupiou Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: Jorenne on 2006 May 13, 15:24:46 Do I spy a mathman mesh lurking there? Cause I had the same thing when using that.
Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: pioupiou on 2006 May 13, 16:17:12 I use Crammyboy's one. I haven't tested yet how it behave without my default replacements.
Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: DrBeast on 2006 May 13, 16:24:39 Yes, that looks suspiciously like a penis mesh that causes the problem. I used mathman's penis mesh and sure enough, I noticed the same thing. Then I tried Crammyboy's alternative and all inconsistencies were gone.
ETA: I use default skin replacements from paradisesims. Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: pioupiou on 2006 May 13, 16:27:08 I don't understand why it only happen for the S2 male....
And DrBeast are you sure you didn't have problems with crammyboy's penis mesh ? Cause that's the one I'm using, so maybe my issue is something else ? Thanks for your response Pioupiou Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: DrBeast on 2006 May 13, 16:30:24 100% sure, I've been using it for an extensive period of time and my sims are frequently in the buff. I haven't tried any other default skin replacement besides paradisesim's ones though, so it could be skin-related.
Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: nikita on 2006 May 13, 18:18:19 Interesting, I noticed a similar problem with a S2 fit sim and I use crammyboy's penis mesh. He was the only one I saw the problem with and though it wasn't as pronounced as yours is in the pictures, I could still notice some slight difference. I wonder if this only occurs for this particular skintone as I've never seen it happen with any of my other Sims. I use Enayala's skin defaults and Sim Cribblings.
Title: Re: Skin Problem with male fit S2 sims Post by: pioupiou on 2006 May 13, 20:47:30 I'va done some testings in my clean version of the game (no hacks, no custom content etc, mainly for testing) : with or whiothout crammyboy's penis mesh I have the same problem on male fit sims of S2 skintones.
I've tried with and without the default replacements I use (allan akbar), with and without the penis mesh, and I've tried some custom slins to compare (and the alien one). The only one with problem is male fit S2.... I really don't understand. If someone has ideas for additionnal testing I'm open to suggestions. thanks Pioupiou |
