Title: Adoption not working properly. Post by: Braveheart on 2006 May 09, 18:58:39 I called the adoption service and they arrived as usual the following morning at 10 am. The dialogue came up and asked what I'd like to adopt and I chose a baby. The adoption van the immediately drove away. We did not recieve our baby. Any ideas why this could be? Thanks on advance. Naturally I have no idea but when things get squirrly for me, I delete my groups.cache file, leave the game, start it up again and rally forth. Title: Re: Adoption not working properly. If you are having this problem, try taking out any ss related hacks.
Oh... another thing... did you get any warnings? I think the game doesn't allow adoptions if you are too poor. I only vaguely recall this because I think Inge had a hack that allowed poor sims to still adopt. Or... I could have imagined that. :P Ste Title: Re: Adoption not working properly. I could have imagined that. :P I think that stops the adoption process if you don't have enough money i.e. you won't get the message saying they will arrive the next day. Silly question but were there any teens, adults or elders at home on the lot? If not then the van should just drive off and not deliver the bub |
