Title: Possibilities of an Evil aspiration? Post by: Riez Forester on 2006 May 08, 02:07:50 I am just wondering whether it is possible to replace all the wants and fears of Grilled Cheese Aspiration to some evil deeds. Because Griled Cheese is so stupid and an Evil aspiration would be more fun and better to play with.
Wants such as Death of a certain Sim, Have a fight with certain Sim and Turn Sims into Vampires & Zombies, and fears towards Love, Relationships and having childrens would be fun! I dont know know why they include Grilled Cheese aspiration. It was stupid, wasteful and I doubt a lot of people toy arround with it. Title: Re: Possibilities of an Evil aspiration? Post by: Ness on 2006 May 08, 02:15:50 I doubt very much that it would be possible. Things like aspirations are pretty much in the realm of things only maxis can change.
Title: Re: Possibilities of an Evil aspiration? Post by: Riez Forester on 2006 May 08, 02:17:41 I know. But I have seen a few modders removes specifix wants and fears from certain aspirations. It seems like it is impossible to change the entire asppirations, but would it be possible to changes their wants and fears?

Title: Re: Possibilities of an Evil aspiration? Post by: eaglezero on 2006 May 08, 06:51:40 I would SO love an Evil aspiration. I think they should want to fall in love and get married but then want to cheat a lot. And pick fights. It'd be cool.

I think this also falls under the same scope of not being able to edit/change the want trees. I've seen some mods out there that change wants, but they involve overwriting stuff under the installation directory tree and not just plopping a .package in your Downloads folder. These mods would most certainly 'break' everytime a new EP was released. And they most likely would conflict with any and all other mods that try to change/add wants using the same method. I really wish they would have fixed the Uni Career LTWs and add some new ones. The game needs more variety career wise. That's one of the things that I missed from the original sims. Ste Title: Re: Possibilities of an Evil aspiration? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 May 08, 10:02:02 In order to tweak want tunings, you have to hack the core game files, they can't override.
Since there's only ONE file, this means that you can apply only one such want mod. Also, your game will likely barf when you patch or get a new expansion. The bottom line being that creating new aspirations, or significant changes to existing wants, is unfeasible. |
