Well anyway...is this normal for the game, or is this a result of a hack...or a sign my game is breaking down? I did notice another of my Sims went for his exam in his exersize clothings.

I never know what my sims will wear to exams.  Does this sim have high level for outgoing?

Why yes. She is very outgoing, maxed outgoing -2. But the Sim that went in his exersize clothing is very shy (only 2 outgoing points).

Mine seem to go with whatever they have on when it's time for exams. I had a nude patch for a while and one off my sim went in the nude, would have liked the look on the face of his excaminer. :)

Outgoing ones go in whatever they have on at the time, which includes nightwear.  I have crammyboy's nude hack but mine never actually go naked, they always change first.  I don't think they need to be outgoing to go in their exercising gear though, they'll all go in that if they happen to be wearing it at the time.  Not sure how outgoing they need to be to go in their nightwear - maybe 7 or 8 points or more.

Maybe it was nude clothes he wore can't remember anymore. It was a long time ago. I was just suprised he would go like that.

outgoing sims will go in whatever they are wearing at the time - the others will go as long as they are in some sort of every day clothing - casual outfits or exercise outfits are fine...  I've not tested formal wear, but it could be interesting to see if they go in that as well!

One of my sims goes to class every day in his pajama bottoms, topless.  I think he's trying to impress the teachers. 

I had him call his brother at another dorm.  The brother showed up in pajama bottoms!  I thought, you two really are brothers.  So it seems outgoing sims at Uni really love their nightwear.

I think they live in that or underwear. I had lots off them going in PJ.

Sims don't have any code that forces them to dress before hiking off for class, so they'll just go in whatever they're wearing when you tell them to go. Some sims forget to dress themselves after showers, and if you don't leave their queues empty, they won't redress and they'll go to class nekkid if this happens.

I've never had a sim forget to dress after showering.  Is there a certain personality type that does this?  It would be interesting to watch the first time or three.

Never seen a kid or a teen go to school in his pjs though - must be something that happens once they grow up!

I've gone to uni classes in my pyjamas before. While you're a student, you don't need to care about boring things like getting dressed. Think of all the time you waste taking clothes off and putting them on again - surely it's better to just wear pyjamas all the time?

I'd wear them to work if they didn't insist on uniforms.

But you can't get dressed with a quick twirl!  And you have to keep your clothes washed and ironed!  Sims can wear the same boring thing all their adult life and it never needs washing!

When I first got uni, I had a sim going to class in her nightie every day too.  She also refused to change her clothes for a toga party and would party in the same nightie.  I think there was a post over at MTS2 that let me know this was a result of her being max outgoing.

When I was in college I used to go to my first class of the morning half dressed all the time. I set my alarm to give me 5 minutes before walking out the door. I rolled out of bed, put my hair in a fast ponytail and left. Sometimes I was sleeping in boxer shorts. Whatever.
After class I would come back, shower, and dress.
I occasionally saw people at early classes with curlers or in bedroom slippers. No one cared.
I never saw anyone go nude, though. :-\

Hmm, that's funny.  How exactly did Alvin "ask" her to put her clothes on?  Did he gesture or have some symbol in his thought bubble?  Just curious, since I may never get to see this in my game.

I'd have stuck Alvin in the basement!  And left him there.......

Good heavens!  Playing this game for a YEAR and still seeing new things.  I guess this says something about the game, huh?

Crygender, do you have the nudist hack?  That's the only way I know of that this would happen.  I know Crammyboy's nudist hack has the "ask to dress" social. 

As for getting dressed for class in Uni, my very outgoing sims will go in their sleepwear all the time and pretty much live in them except after taking a shower, but other sims will do a quick spin and change into everyday clothes before going to class if they are in their pajamas.  I didn't pay attention to how outgoing they were, but I assumed they were moderate to shy.

Outgoing sims also will attend toga parties in sexy pj's unless you have JM's hack that stops that.

BTW Are the toga parties connected to the greek houses? I haven't had a toga party, don't know how to but also don't play the greek houses, maybe that's why I'm missing them.

Yes, you have to be living in a Greek house to have a toga party.  Even if your sim pledges to a Greek house and wants to have a toga party, they cannot have one until they move into the Greek house.

Lilith goes off to campus for pizza in her nighty!  But when her room-mate Tammy Crewe started chatting with streaker Damion and Damion hung around, she was shocked he wasn't wearing any clothes - then when I told her to streak she went and hid in Tammy's bedroom!

Alvin is a Virgo with 100% neatness, and very low in outgoing.  He's also nasty!

Oh, I had a look at Alvin in SimPE.  But I've seen him on community lots just go up to another sim and start teasing them.

aw and he is such a darling in my game 8) He is in University right now and is sooo shy. He has a crush on the cheerleader but doesn't have the courage to kiss her yet (he's still a kiss virgin) ;D

This is my second time playing this game.  The first time, i played for about 5 generations and it had to be reinstalled(comp prob-not game).  I opted to start over because I deleted most of the original characters because they seriously annoyed me and I really regretted it.  This time I decided to work with the existing sims the best that I can(hacks).  Alvin is nasty as a townie,but if you work with him(send to uni)he is a great sim(if you don't look at him too closely).  His interests are bad,if you max them,he gets along better with the other sims.  The same with Sophie.  Lilith is designed to not get along with her family,she almost had opposite interests with Daniel.  I had to fix that or Lilith was never going to learn to study,her relationships where too low.  In a few hours,her relationship was in the positive and Danniel was able to teach her to learn. ----I have my out going sims go in their nighties all the time-but what was interesting is that I had a 10 outgoing sim male that would spin into clothing before he would go to school.  I don't know why he does that -he goes into the hot tub nakie.

If Daniel gets thrown out for having a fling with the maid and takes Angela with him, Lilith starts to get on better with Mary-Sue and once she goes to college she's fine.  Seems to get on well enough with Daniel over the phone, even without me changing her interests.

I have played Pleasantview a few times now. The first time, Daniel got tossed and later on Lilith (post-makeover) turned out to be my favorite Sim. The two other times I kept the Pleasant family intact, but ended up not playing them long because I couldn't stand any of them. I must be a real dolt, I had not put two and two together to realize that what made Lilith bearable was the absence of Daniel and Angela from her life. Huh, I have so family splitting to do... ;D

Lilith got on well at college with the Brokes, Beau and current boyfriend Keanu (youngest brother), had excellent relations with Castor and the twins, hardly knew Allegra when she moved in but friends by the time she moved out  Her present fiance is quite an aggressive Taurus, also Friendship, and his sister who is her current best best friend seems to be an ideal match for her, they never seem to disagree about anything.  If she'd had the 30 best friend aspiration she'd be permanent plat now, but she still wanted to be top of the athletic career, but I've rolled that (only thing I've altered apart from getting rid of the vile clothes and hair) and she now wants to be a general - I think that's far more in keeping with her personality!

See I just hate Angela Pleasant so I make it my goal to make her life as miserable as possible. Lilith is best friends with her parents now. They love her, its the other one they've got problems with. Well anyway, they both went to college with the Brokes and Lilith is on the Dean's list and Angela got expelled. I find that Lilith is much more enjoyable than her sister who insisted on ventrilo-farting everyone the second they grew up into young adults.

Angela always has a terrible time in my game.  Once, she drowned in the pool, another time she went into the criminal careeer, married Joe Carr and no-one would ever invite them into their houses or phone her!  Only sim who would speak to her was Mary-Sue, who was living in a retirement bungalow and thoroughly miserable since Daniel had got hold of a load of elixir and a young wife!  In this game I've changed Angela to Capricorn, with absolutely no personality points at all!  And she has a Mohican and is incredibly fat!!!!!!

This time in Pleasantview Angela married Don Lothario. He has 5 kids, but none are with her. She is constantly catching him cheating and  therefore has a horrible relationship not only with him, but with 2/3 of the neighborhood. I haven't killed her off yet, but only because tormenting her is so fun. Poor Angela (sarcasm) has seen a shrink 6 times, at least. Fun stuff.

Don's married to Brandi in my game - he almost never gets a want to woohoo with 3 different sims etc!  He even cleans up the bathroom sometimes without being told!  But their daughter is exactly like him, and cleaning makes her very unhappy!

That's because you didn't take them to the community, and gave them woohoo in the hot tub...:). My two knowledge sims, after I gave them to woohoo in the hot tub, which was in a closed room, showed the wish "public woohoo with 3 different sims" for ages...:).

For the sake of Bob and Betty Newbie - I wouldn't dare to marry Brandi to this revolting Don...:). Just now I play Brandi's family. I creates a CAS sim, named Bobi Newbie, and he married her already - thus the Newbie Legacy is kept again...:).

Well, Don's not revolting in my game - messy perhaps, but he's a hard worker and once you put him in the right career he's happy as Larry and he doesn't want to woohoo everything that moves, unlike Daniel Pleasant, and he's never ever cheated on Brandi!  The three sons are enough to keep the Broke heritage, she's entitled to a little fun, I think!

OK, I know people are talking about characters they play about their sims going to class nude/in pj's. But has anyone seen a townie/npc sim go to class (or wherever they go) just in their underware? I have two sims in the five room dorm, one of the townie/npc (not really sure which) came out of her room in her roos, read a book and appeared to be going to class in her underware. I didn't think her that important so I didn't look to see if she did the swish thing. But when she came back she was holding her assignment still in her underware!!! Now, I'm not that concerned with my sims going to class in their pj's. My males seem to have no problem, but the females generally change.

But I was just wondering if anyone had seen one of their townies/npc's go to class "underdressed".

Possibly, but I don't take much notice of townies!  I've seen a streaker do their assignment and join group research in the buff though!

Here's an interesting variation.  One of my outgoing sims left the dorm fully clothed.  When he got to the community lot he was in his topless pajamas.  So I guess he stripped off in the taxi!  Wow, that's very outgoing!

He's the same one who showed up at his brother's dorm in pajamas.  I guess I shouldn't bother to ever dress him.

Yeah, just let him run around nude.  He wouldn't mind, but the others might.   :D

Funny how you get these clothing glitches!  I had a male sim when I was playing Sims1 who suddenly appeared in a long white evening dress!

Once, before I had JM's hacks, I had a father rush out of the bathroom nude to watch his son grow up.  Everyone was standing around, and he was cheering, unclothed, and I was trying to take pictures!  After the boy grew up, suddenly the father looked down at himself, gasped, realizing he was naked, and nodded his head up and down saying "Uh-huh!"  Then he spun around and got dressed!

What a shame you weren't videoing the transition!

My dormies often go to class in their swimmers since I installed a love tub - they all love hanging around in it, so they suddenly have to race off to class in them.  Or naked, as one of my outgoing sims went.  He hopped out of the tub in the buff and ran.

Did he return the same way, or had he done a twirl on the way?

I have sims go off to classes in their pjs..it seems to be a fairly random act.  Funny thing is sometimes they come back in their normal clothes, did they go shopping while they were off the lot?  :D

Why not - they can go shopping, buy six new sets of underpants, five pairs of PJs, an Evening dress, four pairs of jeans and seven tee-shirts, plus the weekend groceries, and not even a shopping bag in sight!

Don't mention fanny-packs, it allows our UK friends too much entertainment when we use this term and they might hurt themselves when they fall on the floor and laugh heartily at us.  Let's just say, it is akin to a DRE but not with a 'digit'.

I don't know what else we can say, but that's what we call them regardless.  It's hard to avoid the use of the word 'pack' at all.  I wonder what a 6-pack would do for them? or a Meat Packer? - and they're in a Union no less.  How about a whole team like the Green Bay Packers?

A miniature rucksack held with a waist belt? A body boot? (I elected to discard 'booty boot') A fanny bin? Maybe a waist worn cargo stow or security pouch?  Essential needs carrier? - then we could call it/them ENCFKAFPs.

To our friends in the UK - Please help us out here, we want to be politically correct about these things, like not referring to the dykes in the Netherlands.  Any other suggestions?  What does the military call them? HELP!

Oops - well, you Brits have a strange sense of humor anyway.  Now 'fanny' is funny, but a pack definitely is not.

My mother, and again I must remind and defend the fact that she is also a Brit, always had a problem with the word Corny Dogs.  She tried so many times not to refer to them as Hot Corny Dogs, that eventually she lost all grasp of the concept and the 'H' replaced the 'C'.  That habit was even harder to break.

So what do you do about your Aunt Fanny? or your Nanny Fanny?  Surely you only snicker behind their back.

Never met an Aunt Fanny or Nanny Fanny, people probably avoid contracting names to Fanny because of the negative connotations. The last Aunt Fanny I think I read about was in Enid Blyton's Famous Five books.

Oh and... my German mother had terrible trouble with the fruit 'Feijoa'* and the religion 'Jehovah's Witnesses'. She announced to my father one day that there were some feijoas on the doorstep wishing to speak with him. :)

Oh my, that may be OK within the community, but that leaves so little slack for the rest of us who do not wish to offend.  It is hard to say anything anymore and be both sure and correct, no matter where you reside.  References change so frequently, it's hard to keep up with what is OK to say.

Now bumbag is funny, but it brings to mind a whoopee cushion, which some people use to call the doughnuts that you sit on after having your hemorrhoids removed.  It originally was for fun, but people never knew what you called the do-nut thing and whoopee cushion was the only reference they could relate.  See what I mean?

Speaking of doughnuts, do you leave the hole cutouts in place or do you remove them and buy the cutout bits seperately as we do here and which we mostly call do-nut holes?  I was thinking you didn't cut out holes, but filled them instead.

Well, in the Uk, originally doughnuts were filled with jam and covered in sugar, and you can still buy them like this.  However, you can also buy ring shaped ones, sometimes just called ring donuts, or sometimes American donuts (and usually the spelling is the oldfashioned way for the oldfashioned doughnuts!)

If you're concerned, formality is probably appropriate, in which case you would use homosexual and heterosexual I guess.

We used to follow the UK culturally, 'Mother England' and all that. American culture has made a huge impact here in the last 2-3 decades though and I think we are becoming quite 'Americanised', particularly as far as television culture, music, gangs and mass media type stuff goes. New Zealanders have a natural reticence though which doesn't always ally well with American, umm, forthrightness. ;)

The old-fashioned doughnuts here are denser and cake-like and also deep fried.  They are quite a bit heavier and not glazed like the lighter, soft yeast-risen doughnuts.  They are usually just coated with granualated sugar, sugar and cinnamon or powdered confectioners' sugar.  Some places still make the old style with an extra side piece so it can be used as a handle for dunking in your tea or coffee and these are not usually coated at all.

We also have the yeast-risen, filled doughnuts, that have every artery clogging ingrediant that can possibly be incorporated into any one food.  They generally have at least a glaze, but most bakeries and consumers are not satisfied with stopping here.  The jelly-filled doughnuts, particularly with lemon curd, and a light granulated sprinkle of sugar are just fine in their simplicity.  The typical ring doughnuts are the same as the filled in respect to all the extras on top.  I don't know how they can get some much stuff on it and still hold it's shape.

I am not a doughnut fan, but I do like shortbread with my tea and yes, I admit I am a tea drinker not coffee.  My mother has made a pot of tea every morning for her entire life, this is one part of my heritage I can't let go.  Every Christmas I make her a Seed cake and she always gets a little teary-eyed with memories of home and her mother.

Don't worry about your Sims.  My youngest daughter is in college living in a dorn and she says this is not at all unusual in real life.  There are kids that wear their big fluffy slippers, too, especially during exams week.

Well, I'm going to put a nude skin into the game, choose it instead of Everyday and see if the sim streaks to his exam or stays in his PJs!

Does flirting/woohooing with a professor actually get your grades up, or does it happen like it did to a friend of mine who went Back To School and dated his English professor?  She graded him more harshly than she did her other students in an attempt to not show any favortism.

I've only done two post graduate papers, (then got bored with e-commerce stuff), but both my tutors behaved in much the way you describe Aardvark, ethical, tough but fair. As a genuine student, I valued that.

I really don't like the sleazy aspect of the game, wooing the professors, slutty wants for romance sims, there're a lot of aspects I don't play. Hacking is OK, there's a chance they get caught, that seems reasonable.

Well, most of my romance sims have got caught at some time or other!  And they don't like it!!!!

Well, in Sims1 I installed the rejuvenator in a room above the toilets in the park, and Mrs. C decided to rejuvenate and came out in the buff and wandered round for the rest of the session like that - and none of the sims noticed!
