Title: Origins of Bathroom Uses You! Post by: idtaminger on 2006 March 29, 01:30:15 Where does that come from anyway ("in soviet russia, bathroom uses you")? I always just thought it was a Pescado thing, but recently I was reading a blog, and I came across "In Soviet Russia, blog reads you!" Clearly this is a more widespread cultural thing. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Anyway, they put up a big billboard in downtown Seattle with a doll eating a dead rat with the caption "Cigarettes smoke you!" ;)

I'm pretty sure that's what it refers to, but I'm really more curious about the style of reversing the subjects in a sentence, and then prefacing it by "In Soviet Russia..." - where does that originate from?
