Title: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: Moonshires on 2006 March 09, 21:27:37 So...has anyone made a hack to get rid of this annoying auto-action?
Kicky-bag was just as annoying but at least it never hurt the relationships of the sims. I watched two best friends RPS all freaking day on a community lot and ended up not only hating each other, but getting into a fight! And it seems just as addictive as the kicky-bag was...all my sims (NPCs and auto-sims) want to play this retarded game ALL the time. Someone please, kill the RPS game. Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: Elvie on 2006 March 09, 21:30:38 Good grief.
I've seen RPS make relationships fluctuate up and down a little, but I didn't know it could make Sims hate each other! Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: MissDoh on 2006 March 09, 21:46:51 Yep same here, a hack to stop this would be nice.
Also one that would stop parents from auto-dancing with their kid would be much appreciated. Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: akatonbo on 2006 March 09, 22:25:25 Maybe that's what rpshack.package in the OFB director's cut does.
Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2006 March 09, 22:32:55 Oh, that's in already? Yeah, that's what it does, suppresses playing of it, not to mention makes it a game that you can win. Friends and serious sims no longer destroy relationships playing it.

Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: MissDoh on 2006 March 11, 06:13:02 Humm.. even with that hack in, some of my Sims still play it autonamously, is this normal?
Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: gypsylady on 2006 March 11, 06:38:04 My are still playing it on there own too.
Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 21, 01:57:20 I don't mind it, and as for the parent dancing with the child, I think it's cute! And kids who have been danced with a lot seem to become good dancers very quickly and get their scholarship!
What I'd really like is for something to stop your visitors making straight for the dance-sphere or the karaoke without so much as a pause for conversation! Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: ElviraGoth on 2006 May 21, 13:00:00 AMEN to that, ZZ!
Every visitor I have heads straight to the EDS and dominates it until they finally say "Oh, it's late, I have to go now." Whether it's a teen, adult or elder doesn't matter. Trying to talk to them to get them off the thing is almost as bad as the deliveryman dance. Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: DrBeast on 2006 May 21, 15:06:35 AMEN to that, ZZ! Title: Re: Rock, Paper, Scissors Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2006 May 21, 15:17:26 Oh, I always use that with reluctance, I've known it cause more problems than it solves! Actually, though, I find it quite amusing in an odd sort of way - in NL it wasn't so bad, they'd spin fast and fall off, but Maxis seem to have changed it so they spin slow, and all but the clumsiest sims can stay on there for ever! Keanu Broke spent an entire sports party on one, and I wondered if he would get pregnant (having been abducted as a teen) but so far he's strutting his stuff back in Pleasantview with no problems!
But I would like something like a switch that your sim could turn off and throw the visitor into a heap on the grass! |
