I seem to have a problem.  I can't get manage to come up when I click on an employee.  I click on them and can get all the regular socials but no manage.  I can assign them a job from the cash register or the work bench but nothing else.  I can't even do a sales pitch to a customer.  All my hacks are supposed to be OFB compatible.  Their makers said so.  What am I doing wrong?

Take out your downloads folder first to make doubly sure everything is ok.

If it still doesn't work, reload a backup and reinstall.

I found that happening in my game if I interrupted game play for something as simple as saving.  The only way I can get it back to normal is to send them home for the day and call them back again.  Another bug maybe? :(

Disable the testing cheats. Having them active for long tends to disable the store and management options in my game.

I don't have testing cheats enabled.  I've sent them home and closed the business for the night a couple of times.  I still have only the regular social menu when I click on an employee.  I'm removing the hack folder and restarting.  If that doesn't work, well I guess I'll uninstall and do the dance all over again. I'm going to save my nhoods though so I don't have to restart those as well.

OK, I went through my hacks and removed the following since

a) There was no apparent update.
b) There was no information.
c) It may interfere with the interactions pie menu.

moveinall_EP2.package (Unknown creator)

My business interactions are now available.

Now if I can figure out why my video card keeps resetting I'll be a happy camper. :)

I did it the lazy way.  I removed every hack and only put back the ones that are approved.  I had no surprises so far.

Thats odd. I never play without testngcheats turned on and have never had a problem.

Ok, it was a hack.  Not sure which one, but took out a bunch.  Only playing with those I can't live without and the ones that make my game so it won't break.  Working just fine now.  Who knows.

moveinall_EP2.package (Unknown creator)--nofriends version.  This is the one that was sticking it for me.

Seems likely since it modifies the pie menus and not to mention, it's non-awesome. :P

Edit: A quick search reveals that the amnesiafix has been discontinued. It was the old fix for Greek House related amnesia. :P

The move-in all hack is by pinhead over at MTS2. This allows you to move in any townie regardless of age so that your playable sims' friends don't live forever like immortal freaks. :P The no friends version allows you to move them in without being friends with them first.

There is an update available here (http://forums.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=137823).

It also provides you the option to wipe out retain memories when you move sims in. It will conflict with Pescado's NPC/Townie Amnesia hack, which I think was the amnesiafix.package?

Hrm... I just checked, and there is a thread over here (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=94.0). But the hack is called nomoveamnesia.package. I can't remember where I got amnesiafix or who it was by. I thought it was Pescado's but maybe it isn't. :P Probably some old hack that was hangin around.

Anyhew, snag pinhead's OFB update if you want. :)

I hope that I understood Cheriem's problem, and may be this helps (quoted from the Prima Guide):

"Once sims collect several tallent badges, they can be promoted to manager. To raise to this level, the employee must have amassed five points   worth of badges under the following scale:

Bronze - 1 point
silver - 2 points
gold - 3 points

Thus, an employee with 3 Bronze and 2 Silver, or 1 Gold and 1 Silver, both qualify for promotion.

Home based business can't have managers.

To execute the promotion, use the Management...promote to Manager interaction."

The lovepotiondisappearfix hack caused similar problems in my game.  If you have that one, I would suggest removing it.

No, it was a hack that was modifying the social interaction menu and overwriting the business-type interactions thus rendering them invisible.

Yep, removed several things, none of which I remember at the moment, since I deleted them, and wahlah, the new social interactions for OFB work!  No problems after that, other than the same annoyances people are gritching about anyway.  lol

None of these interfere with the pie menu. All of them are current and scan as clean.


It's gotta be that one, since it specifically states "EP2", and undoubtedly had to modify the pie menu checkbox.

It was. Removing the others was part of trial and error testing.

If you figure that one out, do tell. I've been having the same issue ???. 

Odd how it all started after I installed OFB. I think it was just a coincidence though.
Whatever it was, it took out my AGP voltage regualtor on my motherboard thus forcing me to buy a newer, more awesome board than my P4PE.  :D

We're off topic, but did yours start after you installed Open For Business? It could (but doubtfully) be related to the incorrect hardward detection that has been mentioned in another thread. Like I said though, chances are slim.
