Title: And then the wife left him...
Post by: cyperangel on 2006 March 08, 02:10:06
Hrm, I just had a really weird playsession, and I am not sure what i can do to fix the problem. Here is what happened:

I load up my itty bitty lot, which contains a happily married couple, Cory and Ivy. 5 seconds after loading the lot, Ivy decides she has had one helluvan outing, walks to the front door, drops of a big tv, says Thank you for the fun, and then leaves the lot. Whereupon the game removes her from the family menu on the left, and now my sim cant call her.

So, i figure, perhaps I can just teleport her back with Inges teleporter, and ask her to move in. But, nope, she shows up alright, but because shes already married to Cory, the only propose i get, is to transfer ownership of his shop to her. Not what I wantet....

Moving both out of the lot, and then moving them back in seems to have done the trick so far. I gotta admit, there were a short moment where i went  WTF?!?.

Just goes to show, that even in a happy couple, one part can get the urge to see new pastures... :P

I found some quirky stuff too in my neighbourhood after installing OFB. Dylan Broke went to view some roses that were left after a date (I don't recall this happening) and I got an error message. Had to delete them. When his date that he was bonking at the time this occurred left, then the flowers turned up as usual.

This is just a bug. The sim is still in the "family", and if you save and quit, the sim should respawn by the mailbox if it runs off the lot like that. If not, the sim may still be loitering "offlot", and you can try clearing the loiters off with the Ingelogical shrub. If you see your sim stalking off the lot after depositing a date reward when they are a *RESIDENT*, force error!

I notice I get paid $55 for deleting roses from the date after installing OFB.

Haven't tested it yet, but I believe you can sell the roses from a date in your business.

I have tested it, and I cant sell the roses from dates. Just as you cant sell aspiration rewards and career rewards.
