I wasn't too happy to see that my hotels and -um- certain business establishments wouldn't work in OFB since you can't use a bed on a community lot. Echo has already come up with a mod to get around that.

I was willing to take bets that one of the first establishments the new x-pack would spawn was the brothel.

What is it about sims players?  No one's RL is fulfilling enough? ::) ;D

Its just bringing the game up to speed with what people ahve been doing anyway.

But this thread isn't that old and since it was related to the topic, I'd rather not start a new one. :P

I hardly never see peeps talk about djs sims' stuff, so I figure I'll pimp their stuff. They (s/he?) have/has an alternative to echo's mod which allows sleeping And napping. I thought that might be kinda cool. Dunno if this opens up a can o' worms like employees sleepin' or nappin' on the job. Who knows, you might want that option for role playing purposes or whatever. :)

Also, there's a less furious mod and a put your books away mod. I might tweak those for my own personal use, but if you're like me, I really can't stand that sims won't put a book away, no matter How sloppy they are, if the bookcase is in on the same floor, in the same room, or even right in front of them! :P Stupid, lazy sims! Also an alternative to twojeffs no slapping at all, there's less slapping from the telescope. I personally find the slapping funny, but I like that there's a reduced chance.

I'm also curious as to what the "Lurve Poster of Doom" does. :P

DJS sims' owner is a teenaged boy, as far as I know.  Very clever and very nice. :) (Which is not my general opinion of teenaged boys right now, being the incredibly irritated mother of one such creature).  :(  With cause, I might add (the irritated part).

Edit: Also... for all of you peeps concerned about running B&B's or hotels, there is a hack that allows sims to use dressers on comm lots over at MTS2 found here (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=137530).

Whoops. Silly me. Thanks radiophonic for actually providing the link. I guess my brain is too fried trying to keep track of all my hacks and updating or looking for updates that I forgot to post the link. :P

Btw... it looks like you can probably use echo's hack AND DJS sims' hack together. They both mod the same Sleep Available BHAV, but it is identical, so there really isn't a conflict.

However, echo's hack further modifies the autonomous BHAV for allowing autonomous sleeping on beds in Comm Lots whereas DJS sims' hack modifies the NAP test to allow napping. So you could probably use both hacks and there shouldn't be any problems. :)

DJS' mods work great. You are right Stephen, no one talks about him, and he clearly deserves it. I love his self-deleting reward object mod, all the reward objects delete themselves when done with (exept the elixir, but maybe that's just in my game). No more bother with stopping and doing it yourself.

His quieter telephone (what is it with maxis and their telephone-nuisance thing), and his no myoshuwhatever obsession have saved my sanity as well. His site is well worth the visit.

I downloaded his Quieter Burglar and Fire Alarms and Less Robot Breakage.

I absolutely love his auto recycling newspaper!!!

Is DJ sims' owner jfade? He's the one making all the hacks and he is also posting here infrequently too. I adore his hacks and always use it. especially the vampires sleep smart coffin hack. If not for it, my fav vamp would have died at least 100x .

Jfade is also a mod at TSR.

If you ask me, I would go for his hack cos napping on a business is kinda more realistic than sleeping on a business lot unless you are talking about woo hoo for romance boss sims  ;D

I would just like to pipe up and mention that J is a super nice person and very helpful - as well as a good modder. I agree that his stuff is worth a look-see.

Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it. :) I do feel like an unknown at points, but I don't let it bother me too much, heh, I think I just need to get out into the general community more instead of just staying around places I'm comfortable at and rarely posting anywhere else. Anyhow, thanks again, I'm glad to know my things are liked. :)
