When a shop gains rank, you can gain levels on the options. One helps you be able to sell to customers better with a set of commands that as far as I can tell, are no where in the game. Then again, I'm stupid, and just haven't found how to bring up those commands?

If you try being specific about the problem (i.e. give the actual names of the perks and what it's saying the commands are, etc.), someone might be able to help...

Are you talking about options like "Sales/Hard Sell" and "Sales/Dazzle"? Those come with sales badges. The only way to gain badges is by repeating the interactions, unless you find a hack for it somewhere.  The only one that comes on the perks menu is "Manipulate" which I haven't pulled off successfully yet.

There are two different things you can gain.

When you gain a badge (sales for example) you will gain a new sales specific skill. This will be available anytime you click on the sales option on a customer.

They are basic sell, offer at cheap, hard sell, and then dazzle.


The other way to gain skills is through the rank/reward points.

The first two skills do not show up under the sales tab, they show up under "assess" when you click on a customer. The later skills under "manipulate"

They should all be there as soon as the sim finishes their convoluted and torturous path to get into the shop, and either starts looking confused or moves to browse.

Are you missing all the sales options?

On the Business Tracker, the circle up in the corner of the screen, press the button in the middle. You choose business perks that help your business. Each perk costs 1 point, which you get each time your business increases in rank. I suggest the Wholesale perks as those make it mega cheap to restock your store. The Cash perks are good too. They give you cash. Dur.

I mean the perks. Like for perception, I've reached level three, but none of them show up whether I look through the commands of the store owner, family of owner, or the commands when clicking on a customer. The same with motivation, it's level 2 and I should have perk up and under, but they're no where to be found.

lol, and stop trying to lecture someone that's stupid. They usually forget about what you said a couple seconds later.

Take out your hacks and see if they show up. Chances are you have something conflicting with them.

They should all be there, under "assess, manipulate, etc.

Yep, the rewards are listed under interactions when you click on the sim you want to "assess" or "network" with and then there are other options when you click on your controllable sim. Plus, I have found that if you select an employee through Merola's mirror say, they won't have the behaviour rewards. Only your playable will.

Correct me if I'm wrong people, but this is what I have seen.

Okay, the owner of the store has those options, but none of the other controllable have it. That's pretty damn useless if only the owner can use those abilities.

The other controllables can earn them the same way the owner can, by running a shop. Once you ahve the skill you keep it forever.

The owner can also transfer skills to other controllables. He loses a skill rank and the target gains one.

How do you transfer skills? I haven't seen that in any options that I've played with.

The comand should be "pass along" ad works with family members and managers.

Haven't tried it though.

...And it takes FOREVER. I spent hours "pass along"-ing only to find that the receiver had only gotten one step up farther up the ladder...
