Post by: ThyGuy on 2006 February 09, 06:38:03
Whenever I try I get the, "this lot reaquires expansion pack data you do not have" but I have all the expansions. What gives? uninstalled and reinstalled and got the same damn message again.

Have you tried loading your game as is, then entering your game for a bit before saving and exiting, and then restarting your game and trying to load the houses?

I believe he is talking about the installing packages.

It happens when the new EP's package installer binary isn't associated with sims2pack files. Instead, Windows uses the pre-EP package installer that is located in the base game folder.

It's a bit of a tricky dance to fix it, and it doesn't always work.

Try holding down SHIFT, right click on the package file and select open with/choose program. Then, when the next dialog is displayed, click the "other" button and browse for your C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Nightlife\CSBin folder. Now, From there, select the PackageInstaller.exe file and click OK. Next, select the "Always use this program to open these files" check box and click OK.

Cross your fingers, click your heels together and knock on your monitor three times.
