Title: Teleport Folder
Post by: Li'l Brudder on 2006 January 23, 16:33:00
[possibly obvious question]Does anybody know what the Teleport Folder in The Sims 2 folder in My Documents?[/possibly obvious question]

I just had a random thought that it might be for something other than sitting there.

When you download a house or maxis object the game places the files in there and copies them to the downloads folder when you enter a hood.

I get this horrible feeling that you have it in your mind to go around deleting things that don't look useful. DON'T DO THIS. Unless you know exactly what something is and exactly what it does and you are certain it is safe to mess around with, DON'T TOUCH THE FILE.

/me has nasty, nasty tech support flashbacks. *Shudder*

Thanks! ;D

I wasn't about to delete it, Renatus, I was just wondering what it did.  I didn't even touch it.

*Lil Brudder slowly backs away from the Teleport Folder

Brudder, that folder is usually empty anyway, unless you have just installed a house.  It's safe to delete the content and might even be advisable to do so, unless you DID just install a house.

Renatus did you really go on a cleanup rampage on your disk ? Lol that's just too funny. I rarely ever get calls of that nature.  Most people are so terrified of "messing something up" it's a wonder they dare touch the computer at all :D

No - because I know better. I have, however, had to clean up more than enough messes made by people who thought that deleting whatever was an awesome idea, even though they didn't really know what it was they were deleting. Hence my advice - if you don't know what it is, leave it alone!
