Makes twisted sense to me, since my kids did that when they shared a computer. I'm still grateful that I can stop my Sims from doing it!

It's not just computers in my game, they also do it with musical instruments, baths, toilets ... it's whenever someone they're 3-bolts in love with is using it, they want to use it as well.  Even if they've just had a bath, they want another one, or they want to clean the thing when their beloved is in it.  Drives me absolutely crazy.  If it were possible to put them in the bath and throw an electric fire in with them, I would.  No, seriously, I mean it. 

That drives me crazy too. When I first got NL I always tried to get the  bolts as high as possible with married couples, but now I purposely will not let sims marry if they have three bolts. I've had sims almost die because they had three bolts with their partner. They'd rather clean the toilet that their partner is using than eat, even when their hunger is almost at minimum. It's ridiculous.

I have OFB and oh yes they are still obsessed with wanting to turn off the computer when someones using it, stomping feet and hissy fits included. I took this hack out before installing OFB but i'm going to test it tonight to make sure its working for OFB. I'll let ya know if its working with OFB.  :)

I installed OFB last night and left all of cboy's hacks in, and so far they all seem to work.

I haven't had any problems with it and I have FFS & GL  :)

beosboxboy: FFS and GLS are nearly identical to OFBp2. Any hack which conflicts with them probably won't work in OFB either.

What they are trying to do is switch off the computer.  It get on my nerves,  I killed a sim because of it.   >:(

I have it in (with Pets) but haven't really tested it, I think syberspunk listed it as ok

The stomping of feet returned for me with gls (and still remains with pets) - which may mean I have an out of date hack or it may mean that it's not working. Or it could just mean that I never downloaded the right file in the first place. *screams, gets in a huff, tries to shut off fiance's compy whilst he's playing WOW, does stompy foot thing & waves snottily.*

Well, it (the ofb version) appears to be working so far. Anything else?

It works with Pets so far for me. 120 sim days and no complaints.

Could this hack be the reason why I kept getting jump bugs with Monique's computer?

I've had that conflict every since I first installed this mod. But Monique's computer has continued to function normally and the Sims have actually stopped having fits over the chair, whereas with Monique's computer alone they would still have fights over the chair, apparently blind to the fact that there is already a Sim sitting there.

If you are having jump bugs, you should turn on testing cheats and send the log to the appropriate modder or post it in the Podium for someone here to look at.

That's a possibility. I don't know enough about the inner workings to know. But I know that in my game Monique's computer is working normally and this hack actually does load in last.

Hmm...in my game, this hack loads first, since "crammyboy" precedes "Monique".

I suppose moving this one to my special "zLoad Last" folder would be the logical thing to try. Thanks for the idea.

Don't bother. They both do the exact same thing.

I thought I read somewhere that Monique's computers had that feature built in.

After reading that Monique's computer and this hack are both doing the same thing as far as making Sims realize that a computer was already in use, I removed this hack.

But today I had a Sim who was doing her term paper. Another Sim kept going over to that computer with the intent of chatting with another Sim. When he reached the computer, it would drop from his queue. He would then walk away then come back in a minute to try again. He tried at least 4 times.

Now he didn't wave his arms in complaint, but I do have the MATY hacks installed. But as far as I can remember, Sims would realize the computer was in use and pick a different one to use when I had this hack installed.

Am I wrong? Was it just my imagination or luck? Does this make them realize that the computer is in use so that they can choose another one or does it just stop them from having a fit about it?
