Title: Tool for finding duplicated files Post by: angelyne on 2005 December 25, 04:40:11 I found this tool that's great for finding duplicated files. It not only shows you duplicate file names, but also will show you duplicate files with disimilar names. It's awesome for finding those files with the long alpha-numerical files names.
In one case it flagged 2 files, a floor and a clothing, as identical. I though surely it was a mistake, but no. The program found them because they were empty files, thus identical. Turns out I had nearly 1000 duplicate files in my download folders. Not a bad cleanup! The program is called noclone and I found it on www.tucows.com But it's avalaible elsewhere as well.
