I've been using the "no buskers" hack and they still perform on the piano.

Probably because the piano was included in the base game.

The only piano I have that they perform on is the keyboard from MTS2.  However, visitors do still perform at parties, and that is, I believe, intentional.

The "no buskers hack" doesn't apply to any custom instruments, if that is what you have. Atavera and JM were talking about implementing this, but I don't know if it's actually been done, yet .

That's interesting. Hmm.. I wonder if I could use a custom piano on the home business lot I made with Inge's stuff. I use everything but the fountain...it seemed a little cruel :D

The bladderful fountain? I thought it was hilarious, especially since I misunderstood it use! I thought it was for sims to pee in. I couldn't figure out why all my sim guests were leaving so abruptly (even Kaylynn the maid!) with the "bladder desperation" bubble above their heads. I had two of the fountains in the living room as decoration! 

Now that's very funny :D. Although having them relieve themselves into the fountain would be funny too. Worthy of the mascot cow even.

I had a custom piano and the sims fun wouldn't go up either from it even with JM's piano fix.

That's because the fix overrides the piano's individual main routine, which is the source of the corruption. A custom, cloned piano would have its own cloned main routine, which would be buggy if cloned from the default one and not be overwritten. In order to "fix" a custom piano, the creator of that custom piano should download the piano fix and extract the Main, then overwrite the one in his piano package. Otherwise the cloned piano will exhibit the same attribute-corruption bug.

I'm pretty sure the keyboard is ok for fun, so I imagine the creator must have included the fix.

Which keyboard ZZ? I sure would like to give that a try.

I have JWood's keyboard, but I don't know if the fun levels go down or not. I keep all instruments behind a locked door until I want my sims to play them!
I should probably check MTS2 and see if atavera has updated his band controller to work with the "no buskers" mod. I checked not too long ago and he hadn't, yet.

The one I have is JWoods keyboard from MTS2.  Unfortunately, though, it still attracts buskers.
