I have 115 mods, these are red mods, not skins or anything that doesnt come up as a game mod. The contents are top secret however....

Don't you have any problems with all these hacks? I downloaded almost all the hacks Sleepy has, but tried to keep only the "vital" ones. All the rest are in a special folder.

No Gail, I dont. I am a mod addict, but I am fairly selective in what I use believe it or not, and I make sure nothing conflicts before I put it in game (by asking). Even then I go test it out in a clean neighborhood and try to make it break something. I also make sure that I keep all my mods updated as well, I know every one of them by heart lol. So its likely if you have or want a mod, I probably know who made it, where to get it and generally when the last update was. I do tend to stick with lite mods though, I dont use any super mods, which is probably why I have so many. I know there are a couple of mods out there that could easily take care of ten or so mods at a time, but I think that is asking for trouble because you can never be too sure what will conflict and what wont with it.

I think I'd go crazy trying to keep over 100 straight in my head. Already I have to look at mine to remember what I have.

Bah. I have 175 files in my hacks folder.  That DOES include multi-part hacks like the inTeen though. Thank God for whoever pointed me to that program that conveniently prints out my folders.  ;D  Edit:  Mm, I just noticed about 6 or so objects that made it into that folder too.  Still, I've got at least 150.

Wow, these are huge lists.  I think I probably have around 30-40 hacks, although I couldn't tell you exactly what they all were (seeing as I'm not at home).  I know that I don't have anything deemed as officially Non-Awesome though.  JMP has the biggest subfolder, followed by Twojeffs.

I was this way with Sims1 too.  I modded the hell out of my game, and still wound up only building in it.  I could not stay interested in the actual SIMS until Sims2 came out.

What's funny is I mostly build in Sims 2, but in Sims 1 I mainly played with the sims! I didn't use any hacks/mods with Sims 1 though -- I didn't even know they existed.

Including hacked objects, I have a total of 191 items, plus quite a few more in my "Awaiting Updating" folder.  Maybe I need to have a clear-out ...

So far I have 198 files in my hack folder. Not gonna type it all down, but yeah...198. This includes a couple of multipart hacks, so I think the real number is about 160ish. I dunno how I managed to collect so many hacks, but there ya go.

And the funny thing about it is, while pple love to blame hacks and the like for screwing up their games and whatnot, w/ more than 100 hacks, I get less bugs/glitches than with a clean Maxis game!

Yeah I have 184, although again that 8includes multi-part hacks like the inteen so I'd guess an actual number of around 150 - 160.

I ended up adding Inge Jones - "TeleporterShrubPlus" and her "sensible study bookcase" (works great!)

Some of the hacks I have do stuff another does but in a different way ie; the teleportershrubplus - I can use InSIM to teleport sims in But I can't "put up for adoption" so that makes it worth having both ;)  (I use InSIM for some of the stuff that others use SimPE for, like adjusting interests/personality/asp+turnons\off etc...)


Alot of the hacks I have "fix" bugs or annoying behavior like the baby harassment - right now I'm using Inge Jones "less autonomy babycare" but once JM gets nobabyharassment updated then I will switch back to it.


I am very picky about what hacks I install and I try not to download any that will conflict with ones I already have. I keep a very organized "NL Compat Hacks" folder ;) and my hacks are all organized in subfolders by creators in my Downloads folder. I keep an eye out in-game for any conflicts and last night I played for app 7 hours without any problems but I didn't have time to check all of crammys stuff (didn't have time to go to a C lot)

I play and/or build, depending on how I'm feeling.

I have 149, not including the Insiminator or hacked Maxis objects and I can honestly say they are all necessary (or rather, I really like them all)

These are just for the base game, adding the EPs will certainly change my configuration which is probably why I'm hedging on installing them. I'm not sure how much unpleasantness I will be willing to tolerate while figuring out the new configurations I will require. Fortunately, I am pretty picky as well and I know who made 95%+ of them, so it shouldn't be unbearable for long.

Although I will get the next EP as soon as it's available, I will wait to install it until certain hackers have it and get atleast some of my favorite mods tested/updated *laughs* unless I decide to test them myself to see what still works! My daughter will want me to install it ASAP on the computer she is allowed to use so I can always watch her check it out and I can always let her do some testing... ;)  It sucks that I always have to buy 2 copys, maybe soon I'll get lucky and she won't be interested in TS2 anymore...  ::)
