Post by: themaltesebippy on 2005 December 08, 21:26:48
Avoid the smelly droves of cattle at your local mall or Wal-Mart!  Shop at home and buy a suscription to More Awesome Than You! for yourself, a friend, an enemy, and that guy down the street who smells like cloves and swears he used to be the drummer for KISS.

Change a life, make a difference!  Only $39.99 and Now Buy One Month For The Price Of Two, And Get One Free!  If this news does not part your butt hair, then nothing will!

Go to http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com and click on $39.99!  Don't buy your loved ones one of those stupid Hallmark singing Snowmen!  Those things suck and will make you a laughing stock!  Don't pass up this offer, it's for a limited time only!!

Heh, the AllVirgalisSuck came about in the chat when Virgali was going to buy "Angry Baby" from him, and he set that up for her to deposit the money into.

Omigod.  :D

Meanwhile, I am so conditioned to click on "pay pal" links (wee bit too much eBay shopping..)... I just want to push.

Great design, this place is a hoot.

Why wouldn't you click the PayPal symbol?
How else are you going to pay the subscription?

Some people prefer the old check method, I guess. Even though there's no expedited processing option for checks.

By the way JM, did my last cheque reach you?  The post office buggered up and put the mail on a boat instead of Airmail.

Er... what happens if someone actually tries to make a payment through Paypal?

Are they unable to send the money (doubtful, since you can send money to any e-mail address, whether they have a Paypal account or not)?  Do you return it?

*kind of concerned about, y'know, fraud*

Yes but take a real close look at that email addy.... now how many real ones look like that?...If you fall for that..come on you DESERVE to be taken for.  No... i think the situation DEMANDS you get ripped off. :D

I think that person is a little more worried about actual, legal problems that JM, despite his bunker schtick, would not be magically immune to. Regardless of how much we think a person who falls for it 'deserves' to be ripped off, there are these neat things called laws that we are all subject to.

The same thing that happens when you make payments by check or cash like you had to before: I get the money and it goes towards site maintenance, and you get a shiny subscription or subscription renewal.

Sadly, some people seem to have been sneaking through the old system. They have now been caught.
