More Awesome Than You!

I have read over this form and looked through the threads and i am looking for a thread that had screenshots showing were to put the Awesome Mod files. Where is the thread that shows the pictures?

If you can't follow the instructions without screenshots, it's really not in your best interest to mod the game.

Well if that was the case then why was this thread created? http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,17454.0.html This is what i was looking for. Even after i followed those instructions AwesomeMod still does not show up in my game.

It was created to deter braindead dipshits from coming in and asking the same questions over and over even though the instructions are readily available on a thousand sites, and in simple enough language to make them easy to follow for anyone with more than four firing neurons. Retract your finger from your ear to at least the second knuckle, and perhaps the reduction in pressure will keep all that drool from slopping all over your keyboard. It seems to be interfering with your ability to SEARCH MOAR, or even to type up a polite request for help (which is likely to be ignored anyway, given the aforementioned ubiquitousness of the instructions). It all looks like demands from here.

Awesomemod does not "show up"?  What were you hoping to see?  Did you bother to configure it?

It's a mod.  It changes some code in the game to make it work (better).  It is not an object.  There are no fireworks or fluffy bunnies.  There may be destruction depending on your skills of configuration and following simple directions (or lack thereof).  I am not particularly optimistic at this point.

Shift key, use it. Not to mention that is not where AM is supposed to go. Lurk moar.

I did have AwesomeMod in the Mods folder but it still did not work that's why i moved it to the packages folder.

Awesomemod isn't supposed to go in mods/packages? Funny, 'cause that's where I've always put mine.


And how do you know it isn't working? What in game sort of troubleshooting have you done?

PROTIP: To get good tech support always be as specific as possible. I tried this, I tried that, etc. Do you go to the doctor and say "I don't feel good"? No, you go to the doctor and say "It hurts when I bend my elbow" or "I've been running a fever with chills for the last two days".

The more specific your details are the less pissed off the support geek is gonna be. You're making us pull teeth to get information out of you, which means we're less likely to help.

It's been said that AM should go into the "old" framework directories, or at least that's where Pes keeps his. That's all I meant.

I know it doesn't work because when i type in "showconfig" nothing happens. I know that i am suppose to see different list pop up. But i don't see that so i know that it isn't working. I thought we weren't  suppose to put the AwesomeMod in the expansion pack directories.

Both the old and new methods work. Try them both.

Where did you get the Resource.cfg (I don't even know if the game will load without out it, but it's worth asking)?

Out of morbid curiosity, could you post the contents of your resource.cfg file.

I think it's already flounced.

Google "how to install awesome mod"  and try any link that doesn't come from this site.  I dare say there might even be a link that shows pictures or a video.  If you have to see pictures that look exactly like the way you have your stuff set up, then I would suggest that you play a vanilla game.
