Title: Toddler blush
Post by: Emma on 2005 December 07, 09:27:45
I am fed up with my toddlers looking anaemic-does anyone know where I can download some 'face masks' that is just light blusher? I have some full light makeup ones from MTS2 but I don't want eye makeup on my tots. I use Hairfish's lippy so I don't really need that either!
I have searched for this-so asking is a last resort..thanks if you can help :)

Lyran Healthy Glow (http://www.lyran.net/ts2/) Look under Misc. makeup.

Anemic, it's a condition where you have deficiency of blood cells. You think you'd know what that's like, what with being a vampire and all.  ::) It's kinda like how you would like if you were one, your face all blanched out and withdrawn of blood. As a result, it also a term used to describe a lack of vitality, which essentially as if you lack energy, as related to the deficiency in blood cells.

And... what, you got somethin against the Chilli Peppers? That is the Chilli Peppers, right? At least, that looks like Anthony Keidis (sp?) and Flea (who's gay btw, why I felt compelled to mention that, I'm not sure, probably just, you know, for the solidarity ;))

I use something similar to that..only I have no idea where I downloaded mine.  Very similar though and works great.  Pratically all my sims wear that kind of face makeup cuz it enhances skintone so much.

Why does it? State your reasons here, and I might consider changing it if they are valid and reasonable ;)

Thanks Reg btw :-* *goes off to download*

No, not anemia, what's a blusher? Is that kind of lewd joke?

Hairfish has some blushers - subcool, subneutral and subwarm, but I don't know if they work for toddlers as I never bother with doing much to toddlers' appearances, just wait until they're kids!

Red powder that you put on your cheeks. You know, the stuff hookers wear to "define" their cheekbones.

I thought those were the bruises they got from being slapped around by their pimp. And why would you want to put that on a baby? That's just sick, man. Sick.

That's real male ignorance!  Most women wear blusher when they make their face up, just most men probably don't realise it if it's subtle and well applied!

I don't like real make-up on toddlers or kids and not much on teens for that matter. Lyran's "Healthy glow", is just that. It makes their cheeks slightly rosy. Babies and toddlers have rosy cheeks naturally.

Especially toddlers that insist on following people around all day. I mean, why? ???

I thought that was skin irritation from baby powder, or maybe the minor side effects of duct tape or screaming too much.

You can get the same effect by slapping cheeks repeatedly ;D But that doesn't work on the sims so I have to resort to blush.

[edit] Changed av again-this one looks more like me

I kinda like this avi, in a don't-shoot kinda way.  Makes me interested to see what all the different avi incarnations were though, if JM didn't like it.

Don't sweat it, he never likes it when I change mine either.  Although I am weak and usually change it back.  :-[  I swear, I like it too, lol.

Er, yes. I just assumed that was blusher, rather than pimp-marks. I don't actually know all that much about the ins-and-outs of hookerdom. If you'll pardon the pun.

That's real male ignorance!  Most women wear blusher when they make their face up, just most men probably don't realise it if it's subtle and well applied!

I've been called many things, but this is the first time I've been called a male chauvinist.

Aww! I tried to put the blush from Lyran on my tots-and the blush option was still greyed out! I need one that is a facemask I think.

*blinks pleadingly* Could someone try and make some please? I'd love you forever. I would try myself, but my PSP disc is kaput-and also I am really crap at recolouring stuff :)

Isn't there an option in SimPE where you could reclassify something for toddlers?

Come to think of it, if you go through all your makeup in simPE, then sometimes one will show up as swimwear or clothing of some kind.  If a blusher showed up like that, then maybe that one would work?

An alternative is that Teresa over at the Real Sim has some very pretty face masks - I don't know if they work with toddlers, but it may say on the download page.  Again, I don't know if any are freebies, but you could perhaps check them out.  (At least then you wouldn't notice the lack of rosy cheeks!

Thanks Zeph-I will check that out :) I don't have SimPE so can't re-categorise.

I have one in my game that's called a "self tanner". I give it to all my toddlers to avoid that pasty washed out look. It's awesome. Now if only I could remember where I got it...

Title: Re: Toddler blush
Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2005 December 07, 22:16:35
Well, I've never actually done it, so I on't know how to do it, but mostly these things can be done, but it may be that the game just doesn't allow any make-up to be used for the tots.  However, face-paints are something different, it's quite a pre-school thing, isn't it, face-painting!

Okay, has anyone seen this blush? I've been going to as many sims sites as I can remember, but can't seem to find it. It's exactly what the original poster is looking for, I believe.

Here's a pic of a toddler wearing it. Very subtle. And you can see it is highlighted in the "blush" section. When moused-over, it simply says "self tanner"

Brynne, have you run your makeup file through SimPE, it might give you the Creator's name, or a site URL.

Subtle? That baby is turning PURPLE. It looks like it's been holding its breath too long and is about to pass out.

Either it's time to get your eyeglass prescription renewed, or to perhaps start wearing glasses.  While I don't approve of toddlers wearing make-up, I don't think this looks like make-up either.

It doesn't look like make-up either. It looks like the entire baby's head is turning orangy-purple. It ain't healthy-looking at all.
