Have you ever had your sims kids drop their queues or homework to dash out and hug mummy or daddy when they arrive home? Its sweet isnt it, the first few times...until you have something you really need to get done and not a lot of time to spare and oops there goes the kid running off to hug mom or pops even though you had several very important items lined up for them to attend to. Awe, look the poor kid promptly passed out, didnt even get the homework completed...or the kid missed out on that aspiration point to platinum and now they have promptly transitioned due to the redirection in green, or worse...red.

This stops that annoying forced dropped queues to hug the rents. Take control back of your kids, whip em in shape and keep em skilling! There'll be time enough for huggin, when the dealings done.

I use Pescado's "nohugging hack".

I do to gail, but I found for some reason it didnt always work, so in conjunction with this Nowelcomehome mod, I was able to stay in complete control of the kiddies without having to turn freewill off just to get through that magic hour when the rents get home.

Interesting observation.  Pescado seems to have created his a couple weeks ahead of mine and they both modify different BHAVs.  This could explain why using both is more effective.  This hack stops the interaction at the"Get Out" behaviour while Pescado's edits the "Parent Greet" bahaviour.

Hi Phedge I have been using this mod but every time I use cleanintsall it says it is an empty package. I was just wondering why it tells me that.

I imagine it is flagged as being empty because there is no OBJD file, but I can't say for sure as I am not familiar with cleaninstall.

Wow... And here I was thinking that it was kinda nice that little kids love their parents enough to run and hug 'em.  Sure beats coming home and nobody cares, if you ask me.  Seems like it's one of the few humane things that EA/Maxis did put in the game... but that's just me.
