Basically, my only problem is with worlds (namely Sunlit Tides, Lunar Lakes and Lucky Palms as these are the only ones I want, I used to have Riverview and thought it was a bit shit :-\)

Even when decrapped using the guide for retards - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,19170.0.html - I am getting the error about needing my software updating still... My base, Pets, Gen and HELS are all arr'd adn they are obvs the only packs/EPS I own. But yeah this error is starting to get annoying now especially as I can't figure out wtf I'm doing wrong and if it's obvious feel free to flam e- it's most likely my 4am tired ignorance causing me to be such a spazz.

Buy my damn games?.... I hope you're joking. I calculated the cost of the 9 games (base&8 eps/sps) from a games retailed in England - on discount - £199 exactly! So no I won't - my education and driving is more important, this is a hobbie.

It sounds like you're not patched.  Store stuff usually requires you to be patched.

Thanks for the patch thing, didn't realise it worked for pirated games as MTS aren't a massive advocate of it. And it was almost 2am you 'speeshul' person, I was commenting as I was about to turn off my laptop and sleep so it was convenience. Well thanks for the patch thing - patching atm not sure if I'll need to redownload the worlds, hopefully not but if I do I do.

ETA: Worlds have apparently installed however the new patch now means that it wants the game disc.... I'm fucked if I'm honest - I deleted the ISO aaaaaages ago and EAxis demolish all uploads of the Sims via NZB (I don't Torrent) within minutes :/ bugger.

Any advice? Googe has lead to the Sims forums but they're genuine purchases and it's 'contact our department blah blah'  :-[

Go to NRaas and get Twallan's No-CD mod.  Then boot your game directly from the .exe file, and not from the launcher.

The no-cd mod is really a better choice than an iso. Download the no-cd mod once, use it forever. With isos you always have to have the latest one, which means expansions can be a pain.

The fuck? This person uses a bunch of smilies, asks dumb questions, says "thanks", says "it's" instead of "its", spells "hobby" with an IE instead of a Y, typos all over, and you two are patiently assisting it. Is everything okay? I'm genuinely concerned.
