Title: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Torkle on 2005 December 04, 01:13:07
Many of you have posted your sim-likeness on this board along with your personality characteristics, so I thought this link would be appropriate for those who want a second opinion:http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/bfi_sims.htm (http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/bfi_sims.htm)

According to the test, I'm 6 Neat, 3 Outgoing, 4 Active, 7 Playful, 7 Nice.

I am 7/4/5/3/3, which is really close to how I pictured myself.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

4/6/7/7/8 :D Pretty close, I'd say.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Ness on 2005 December 04, 01:42:52
6/2/6/8/7

although - I really think I'm much sloppier than that!  everything else is about right, though.

Neat 5, Outgoing 3, Active 6, Playful 4, Nice 7

Pretty accurate, but I must've clicked something wrong, I'm at most a 4 in Neat, and I'm a tad more outgoing than 3. So it would be even more accurate if it came out: Neat 4, Outgoing 4, Active 6, Playful 4, Nice 7.

I'm 3/5/6/6/7 according to the test.

Ha ha ha ha ha

I'm 5, 6, 5, 9, 3. I thought I was really nice. I did. I do. Just because my student evaluations say I'm mean.

This made me laugh really really hard. I agree with the playful, but it's very generous with my neat and active ratings.

Lol, I got  9/8/7/7/10 - and that's the exactly personality I give all my sims, which I can do only with the SimPe...:).

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: dewshine on 2005 December 04, 02:16:10
I got 7/2/5/9/6 (neat to friendly)

But where did that playful score come from???  because I love to read, so I thought that would peg me as serious...

Mine are as follows: 7,4,5,4,7 Tgdrysix

I ended up with 8 playful. I can't figure out which questions I screwed up on. I'm like the least playful person on the face of the earth.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

I think it was the curiosity one...

9/1/5/8/4 ?
9 huh? obviously they have not seen my housekeeping! And playful? My idea of a good time is the library. .This test is seriuosly skewed, or maybe it is just me who is skewed? ;D

7 neat I think I'm more sloppy than that would pick a 4 for me, Outgoing 4, Active 4, Playfull 5, Nice 6.  The other ones are just about right. :)

Meh....a bit low on the sloppy/active scores though....I think  :)

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: katemonster on 2005 December 04, 04:12:25
I'm 7/0/4/6/5. I think it's pretty accurate. I can't remember what I gave my sim-me--I think it was maybe 6/2/4/7/6. I don't even know why I gave myself 2 outgoing points, because I definitely don't have any and consistently score 100% introverted on every personality test ever.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: MissDoh on 2005 December 04, 04:30:54
My result are:

6 neat (I defenitely find that one untrue lol a 3 or 4 would more fit me), outgoing 5, active 5, playful 6 and nice 7

Except for the neatness it does pretty match me.

Okay I'm definitely not that neat lol
And I'm not that shy.  I'm more of the f*ck off and leave me alone type actually
Active/lazy is pretty accurate..I'll do stuff, but usually don't like doing it :p
Playful/serious is pretty close
Nice/grouchy..well I would say that I am grouchy..I'd knock it down a point or two (see f*ck off and leave me alone above) lol

I did make a sim version of me...I put in how I thought it was and it the personality points I chose made my star sign a Cancer, which is what I am..I thought that was pretty cool :)

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: reggikko on 2005 December 04, 04:57:10
I got 8/5/6/9/8

Pretty accurate except for the playful part. I think it was the curiosity and creativity questions that drove that score up. I do like to have fun, but in a quiet, serious sort of way. ;) And everyone knows I'm too nice for my own damn good.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

I think they're equating be organized for being neat. I may be organized, but I'm no 8 in neat. ;) The rest are pretty close.

Post by: eaglezero on 2005 December 04, 05:41:54
4/6/6/7/3

I would have said I was 5/3/6/4/7. The test thinks I'm a lot meaner though. I'm not really grouchy most of the time though -- only in the morning, or when people are being stupid, or loud, or if I'm not getting my way. But I'm nice most of the time, I swear it.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

4/4/2/8/5

Well, I figured I was lazy, but not that lazy. I mean, 2? C'mon.

I didn't expect playfulness to be that high either, cuz I tend to be rather serious at times.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: yetyak on 2005 December 04, 06:48:16
8/0/2/1/7

I didn't figure I was that lazy, either!  Nor that playful, but the rest is right on.  Now I feel like I need to load the game and make a sim with these numbers just to see what sign it comes out with.  I know for sure it won't be Leo like me.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: nocomment on 2005 December 04, 07:33:16
8/2/2/9/6

Wow, I am not an 8 in neat.  I'm sitting on my couch, and right at my feet there's a piece of aluminum foil with scraps of canned cat food on it.  I fed the cats a treat two hours ago, and haven't cleaned up yet.

So, that is not an 8!

Shy and lazy look ok.  9 for playful...I don't know.  I guess it depends on what you call playful.  Can you "play" when you're super lazy?

I would say I'm a little nicer than a 6, but I'm willing to let that one go.  It could just be self-perception, you know?  I want to think I'm nice...

But there is definitely something weird with that neat score!

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

I think they're equating be organized for being neat. I may be organized, but I'm no 8 in neat. ;) The rest are pretty close.

Yeah, my "neat" was way too high.  Just because my computer files are organized, doesn't mean that I don't have a ring of moldy coffee cups around the monitor! :D

6 neat
9 outgoing
6 active
10 playful
7 nice

Other than "neat" needing to be a 0 or 1, and playful being just a tad too high, they got me right. :)

6/3/2/8/2

*looks at house and just boggles* No friggin' WAY am I 6 in neat and 2 in lazy - I tend to walk as my main form of transportation, on purpose! I think some of the questions that should have been for sloppiness got pegged for activity, and I think it was a mistake pegging curiosity and creativity into playfulness. I'm silly, but not quite that much.

Haha, 6 in neat. That's why I haven't cleaned my house properly in two months, right?

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

I'm not sure if my apartment agrees with that neat score.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

7 neat, 4 outgoing, 4 active, 7 playful, 8 nice.

Neat score is definitely too high.  Playful also seems a bit high, since I do enjoy puzzles!  And just because my mind is organized that doesn't mean anything else is!

About as organized as I get is alphabetizing my cd's and dvd's (and LP's and video tapes, since I still have a lot of those).  But I have wastebaskets that need to be emptied, floors that need sweeping, and my desk is a mess.

My mottos, which I have displayed prominently: "A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind" and "A clean house is a sign of a broken computer".

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test

4 Active

I don't like mine, I would make a terribe sim,  too lazy and too serious.   ;D

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Kyna on 2005 December 04, 14:14:20
Mine was, I'm ashamed to say, almost right.  2/2/3/6/6.

Ok, I think maybe I'm a little neater than that - I certainly don't eat out of rubbish bins and definitely don't relieve myself in the shower.  Maybe neatness should be closer to 3.5 - 4.  And on the 'playing with ideas' question - for me that's a sign of seriousness, not playfulness, at least in Sims terms (or maybe it's my laziness, I'd rather play with ideas than play sport ;D )

For anyone else who has a house that looks like mine used to, may I recommend www.flylady.net (http://www.flylady.net).  FlyLady helped me turn a messy house into a tidy home that I'm no longer ashamed to invite people to.  Or I would invite people if I wasn't too shy to have people over.

8 - neat (snirk)

Yeah, I agree that the Neat scoring is a bit off.  As I look around my immediate surroundings (which are a true mess), I can't come close to justifying my score of 6.  That is at least 2 points too high.  Snirk indeed!

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Zeljka on 2005 December 04, 17:51:26
well, I certainly didn't deserve a 7 in Neat.
I don't cram food into my face, or belch and fart in people's faces once I'm done eating and I certainly don't pee in showers, though I do occasionally leave a puddle of water on the floor...

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Regina on 2005 December 04, 20:22:41
Interesting!  I think if we all knew what really added up to those answers we'd be really tempted to fudge just a bit. LOL

I also found the results what I'd consider to be a bit off but not by a lot.  The results were:
Neat:  6 (I used to be a whole lot neater than I am now but wouldn't now consider myself a 6 although the messy house is getting on my nerves)
Outgoing: 5 (pretty close to reality)
Active:  7  (I know I was active like that when I was younger, but life and that activity's caught up with me--now I'd give myself about a 4 and that's just because I don't slouch! LOL)
Playful:  8  (I'm much more into quiet forms of entertainment like reading, my computer, and things like that--however, I can sit here and quietly play a game all day long--so how many playful points would that give me? LOL)
Nice:  8  (The only reason in RL I could possibly have more than 4 nice points is because of the act of encouraging>nice!  What little bit of tact I do have didn't come naturally!  In RL I'd give myself lower overall nice points, although I do try hard)

Now for another interesting comparison.  I'm a Capricorn born on the cusp of Sagittarius, but have always favored the Sagittarian personality traits.  When I made a Sim me (Sag) her personality ended up being Neat 4, Outgoing 3, Active 7, Playful 7, Nice 4.  I think besides my current active level that's more in line with my real personality at this point.

Kyna, does this lady come to your house, or you took on-line lessons?

I see a lot of TV shows, that a design group visit houses and arranges the mess.

Flylady gives you the tools so to speak in order to have a clean, less-stressed house.

For some folks, this comes naturally.

For the rest of us, there's Flylady! lol

You still have to do all the work yourself...lol.

Thanks for the answer. ;D

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Kyna on 2005 December 05, 16:05:21
Thanks FlyBaby Ivy for taking the question :D

FlyLady's website and daily emails helped me establish simple housekeeping routines that suit my life - and they're not long routines either.  When her website was first suggested to me I was a bit skeptical about the whole thing, but thought I had nothing to lose by trying it.  Frankly I was amazed at how much I can accomplish in 15 minutes of housework a day + one hour weekly home blessing (which I used to think of as chores).  And how much better I began to feel as my house gradually started becoming a home.

Gali, I thought I was a likely candidate for one of those makeover shows, except that I would have died of embarrassment to think that my messy house would be on TV where other people would see it.  And my house would have gone straight back to being messy in no time at all.  A makeover show wouldn't teach me what I needed to know.  FlyLady does.

Title: Re: Sims Personality Test
Post by: Ivy on 2005 December 05, 16:21:25
A makeover show wouldn't teach me what I needed to know.  FlyLady does.

Amen to that...isn't that the truth! :D

And you are quite right Gali, my apologies to you and Kyna for stepping in.  Once you know Flylady and how well it really does work, it's rather hard not to get excited about it!  Best of all, the help is *free* :)

Flylady is indeed such a wonderful help when deciding what needs to be done and when.  If it weren't for that, I'd sit around constantly, look at the mess that we're in, and worry about ALL of it needing done NOW...instead of just doing what I can to tackle it for 15 minutes at a time! (This is how I am remodeling my bathroom btw.  Wallpaper stripping is being done today! And probably tomorrow, and Weds too, but it'll get done much faster than if I had to do it the old way!)

It's great to know there are other Simmers out there who are Flybabies as well! :D

Happy Simming (and FLYing!)
:) :) :)

Lol, Ivy, you should see again the "Mary Poppins" film, especially the arrange of the mess into the kids' room...:).

As Mary Poppins says, if you turn the labor into a game - you will enjoy the labor.  ;D

I got:

9 Neat
6 Outgoing
4 Active
8 Playful
7 Nice

I agree with everything but the Neat score.  I think it scored that way because I am very precise about my job and very organized about the way I do it (I have to be - I'm a CPA and an auditor IRL).  And I answered questions related to organizational skills accordingly.  However, I would not say I'm overly neat in terms of housework.  My house is clean, but I'm not obsessive about it, that's for sure!  If I had to score myself, I'd give myself a 6 in Neat.  7 on a good day!

Surprisingly on target.  I'm a Pisces and, except for nice, I'm not so much what the game considers a Pisces.  I usually make my self Sim have a higher neat score because I can't stand the buzzing fly sound.  I think that if my real life dishes devolved into their own eco-system at such a rapid rate, I would be much tidier.

Uh... now, personally, I think I'm more like 5 / 7 / 7 / 8 / 5. I agree with other people's comments that Neat must've included organisation.

I am pretty outgoing, but only in the right social circles. I mean, I find geeks easy to get on with because that's how my brain works, but I can't deal with "normal" people at all. Playful? Well, if I wasn't, would I sit here for hours each night playing video games? Or rather, talking about playing video games... hmm, maybe I do deserve that 8 in Outgoing after all ;).

I don't think I'm above "average" in Nice. Although I do tend to burst into tears if people are mean to me. Hmmm.

Most of it is rather accurate with the exception of playfulness; I think the question about curiosity influenced it a lot, and while I admit I'm curious I'm also very serious.
