Title: Question about decrapifying. Post by: LadyElDi on 2012 June 04, 08:51:28 Hello,
I've searched google and this forum but nothing definitive comes up. I'm a moderator over at G4TW forum and one of our users has a problem installing sims3packs. Every one of them fails due to a "software failure". She mentioned decrapifying all of them, only I know for a fact that the ones she downloaded had already been decrapified. Could this be responsible for the error she's having? Title: Re: Question about decrapifying. Post by: Madame Mim on 2012 June 04, 08:58:18 Yes. Downloading decrapped files is a danger because older versions of the decrapper may not have functioned properly. Double decrapping does not do any harm of which I am aware.
Title: Re: Question about decrapifying. Post by: LadyElDi on 2012 June 04, 09:03:53 Ok I'll keep that mind for future reference.
The files all work fine for other users though, so it's probably something else preventing her from installing these sims3packs. Title: Re: Question about decrapifying. Title: Re: Question about decrapifying. Post by: ForkInToaster on 2012 June 14, 12:37:20 Ask her specifically what is going on. If it's a decrap problem, she should get a launcher message about updating her game, not a random "software failure." I double decrap all the time. I'm on a Mac, so I only download decrapped files. If they don't work, I download them onto my PC, decrap and upload to my cloud storage. It's kind of a pain, but it works. If she's getting crashing, perhaps a reinstall?
