More Awesome Than You!

I've been using twallan's noCD mod and bypassing the launcher, as my pets disc is really scratched. But I un-bypassed the launcher today to install a world, which seemed to install a-ok. However, now that I've bypassed it again, (by changing S3Launcher.exe to TS3W.exe in my info.plist) my game loads up until the point where you pick a save file to play, then gives a "please insert disc" error. Halp.

I deleted caches; took out all cc except for the nocd mod; but nothing is working. To my uninitiated brain, it looks like all cc has stopped working, but without that particular bit of cc, I can't play at all!

ETA: I play on OS X.

I have problems with CC on my Mac on a daily basis and I'm still confused and I spend all day trying to fix it.

I suggest just do what I'm doing, sell the Mac and get a non-piece of shit.

Perhaps the info.plist is corrupted. Do you have a backup before the bypassing was originally done?

Or move it to Desktop and start the default Launcher shortcut and hopefully that would create a brand new info.plist for you to re-edit and bypass Launcher.

Oh, please. I'm well aware Macs are not good for gaming on, but *newsflash* playing the sims is not the only thing I use my laptop for.

Oh sooze. You were born too late. When I was six we gamed all day on Macs. Oregon Trail was awesome.

Lode Runner, the best game ever, was an Apple game before mac was even a twinkle in Steve Jobs' eye.

I loved playing Sim City on the Macs at school.

Yukon Trail was cooler.
