Hello Maybe You Can Help Me here With my Problem ; My Game keeps crashing Randomly .

From a hasty scan it appears this user is out of memory.

Also that virtual memory is way too small -- that alone crashes the game.

If you're going to post useless xcpt logs, at least have the courtesy to post them as attachments!

4GB at least to play comfortably. Moar than 4GB is optimal though if you have a 64bit OS.

No, that's your RAM, not virtual memory, that you want to augment to 4 GB.  You can buy some RAM and insert it into your computer if you're using a desktop.

Before you just buy any old memory card (RAM) be sure you check to see if the card you are buying and your slots have the same amount of PINS!! You can't just buy the first card you see.

Or just take it to some computer place and tell them you want MOAR RAMZ and ask them to install and they'll do all that shit for you.

Agreed, but not to just any old "computer place".  Please do yourself a favor and check around before you let any fucking jackass in your computer.  Trust me I fix the damn things all the time, but it is UN-fucking-     believable how many morons there are who "think" they can fix the shit.

That too, the place I go to is very good but yeah, some people 'think' they know what to do and break it.

Last I checked, crucial.com has a program/utility that will check your comp for what will fit in your comp and what you need.  I've gotten RAM sticks from them before, and they have worked fine.

[ETA] I'm sorry, but I've had too much wine tonight to tell what his OS is. If you have XP 32 bit, it won't be able to see more than 3.5 RAM; no matter how much you have installed.  I don't know much about Vista; or Win 7 - but that is just becaused I hated Vista (refused to learn about it, even if my kid's comps had it), and got Win 7 64 bit with as much of a comp as I could afford.  :-[

Vista sucks balls, so not  big deal really. 7 is like Vista 2.0, but actually works like it should.

Man, I wish I had the money to just out and buy a brand new upgraded computer when all I need is a small hardware update.

and my ass is to precious for me
any way I did some cleaning of bad files in my computer ; updated my drivers ; keeping my CC small... uninsulated all my expansions  and installed them all again
and the game works pretty fine so far...-- no more crashing like it use to .
I always use the save as option so if anything goes wrong and some files get corrupted  ; I just can go back one save before that.
if the game get stuck or crash -- I run PC health check and fixing all the bad files been corrupted ;clearing temp and %temp% folder
and all the cache from the sims 3 folder .
I also use free windows Registry tool...and the games run now pretty good with only 2 ram...
still the sucks part I cant use much CC...
until ill decide if to buy a new PC or just do this upgrade .

I Ordered My New Improved PC today -- I'm so excited....cant wait ...~~~!!

Could someone translate this into something readable, please.  My stupid-to-English translation fu is weak today.

This happens when your computer does not have a powerful enough processor or enough RAMs to keep up. I do believe the motives of inactives are reset or at least managed in some way over an alarm cycle. If the simulation engine is behind, it does not get to them before they die.

SocialSim, this is normally a ram issue - your pc can't process all the actions so sims get stuck, doing nothing until they die. It shouldn't affect your playables though.
Try doing a reset.

It will for a while, until the game regenerates families.

If you are using AM you can set the config to a very low number of sims in the world. There won't be many [or any] new babies born or new people moving in; this might take the strain off your PC.
