Title: CAW makes my computer scream. Post by: Claeric on 2010 October 04, 21:54:51 Something in there, a fan maybe, just goes crazy when I'm running CAW. As if I'm playing a taxing video game and all my computer's resources are dedicated to it. Any idea why or how to stop it?

Post by: geminia on 2010 October 08, 17:14:54 My ATI is happy with CAW untill i hit that crappy "edit in game" button and I've found the best solution. I do not use "edit in game" mode anymore. I just export my world and build lots in game.

Since saving takes 50 million years in EiG, you are much better off doing just that: exporting, building in regular game, saving to library, and then plopping them all in one go in EiG.Title: Re: CAW makes my computer scream. I've also heard running high powered magnets over your hard drives will also prevent a whine and create seamless disk usage which lowers taxation on the system, thus saving your need to even deal with cooling fans... |
