Title: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: randomnade on 2010 April 08, 04:58:36 I recently reinstalled Sims, WA and loft stuff. I played for a while without AM cos i couldnt be stuffed getting it to work, CC was working fine.
I installed AM today with all the framework files. When i played using the AM i got from the main page http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15185.0.html (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15185.0.html) that warning came up with non-critical core mismatch. I ignored it and went ahead to 'editsim', although in the CAS i couldnt save, exit, go to main menu etc. So i searched around a few threads and got that test AM (updated 23/3/10). No warning, loaded fine. However, when i unpaused my game - 2 sims were already at work when i saved - the 2 sims immediately stopped working, one appeared at home, having been teleported from the science centre, with a default EA hairdo. Since installing AM my non-ea CC has stopped working. How do i get my CC and 'editsim' to work properly? Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2010 April 08, 05:20:45 My CC works fine. I suspect the CC you have is just crap.

Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2010 April 08, 09:08:17 That sounds like a personal problem to me, soldier.
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Claeric on 2010 April 08, 17:46:23 A general rule to follow is that if other people do not have issues with something, then you are the one doing it wrong.
If EVERYONE ELSE can get it functioning just fine with no issues, the issue is likely you. Not awesomemod. Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Sigmund on 2010 April 08, 17:55:47 Definitely something on your end. Double check the framework and the resource file.
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: randomnade on 2010 April 09, 02:09:35 Framework files are all in place :( This happened after i put in the test AM... could it be something else?
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Claeric on 2010 April 09, 03:41:29 Yes, typically when something isn't what it isn't, it is indeed something else.
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: randomnade on 2010 April 09, 03:44:48 Do you have any beneficial comments? Any idea what that something else is? How can i fix this problem?
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Claeric on 2010 April 09, 03:52:46 The same way any custom content problem is fixed? By following the instructions painstakingly handed to you on a silver platter all across the internet, already documented thousands of times so that such dumb questions don't have to be answered?
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: wizard_merlin on 2010 April 09, 08:07:43 There are plenty of solutions scattered about to potentially solve the problem, I can think of two right now that haven't been mentioned yet as having been tried.
CC works fine in my game, no issues with the test AM, so you are doing something wrong. We are not there, we cannot see your system, therefore we cannot tell you what you have fucked up (if we wanted to that is), you need to work through it. Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Alidai on 2010 April 09, 16:17:26 You could try the Dashboard by Delphy over at Mod The Sims, maybe some of your CC isn't compatible with AM.
Title: Re: Non EA Custom content not working after installing AM Post by: Sigmund on 2010 April 09, 17:15:40 You haven't really stated what the problem is, though, other than a vague "my CC won't show up". Any number of factors could cause this-- an incompatible mod, an outdated mod, a new patch, adding WA or HELS, and so on. It's definitely not AM, meaning you're going to have to figure out what you did.
