Title: Setup couldn't detect game Post by: gilmar on 2010 March 06, 04:20:36 I tried to patch my game (without CC or mods) to the latest and an error came up, 'The Setup has detected that no version of the Sims 3 High End Loft is installed. The update requires a previous version of the application to be installed.'
I've already installed High-end Loft without a crack and it plays fine with the CD. Also I am using non-original software. How do I solve this problem? Obviously there is something wrong with your HELS install. Remove it and try again.

I only have the original game patched to 1.8xxx and whenever I try to install either the patch 1.9 or even 1.10 I get the following error... Setup has determined that no version of the Sims 3 is installed. This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed. I disabled cc, removed the mods directory, and play from the dvd. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.
