Title: Apartment Lot roads Post by: haifen on 2010 March 04, 23:20:13 I use a default replacement terrain to achieve a more old time-y aesthetic to replace the pavement/asphalt as seen here:
(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy167/dukeofbevonshire/0001/0163.jpg) However when I make apartment lots, even if I change the pavement, I'll play the lot and the road will have changed back to its default tiling making this ugly effect: (http://i46.tinypic.com/hsqn9l.png) So I ask, is there anyway to avoid this without using the glitchy apartment edit cheats (which seem to be VBTs)? Like, is there a way to make the replaced tiles *stick* when converting the lot to an apartment lot? Title: Re: Apartment Lot roads Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2010 March 07, 07:22:22 I suspect each apartment sublot regenerates the terrain, so you will have to repaint the road each time.

Title: Re: Apartment Lot roads Post by: haifen on 2010 March 08, 14:41:10 But I thought editing apartment sublots was essentially a VBT?
Title: Re: Apartment Lot roads Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2010 March 08, 17:44:13 Mostly, yes. You're doing something clearly nonstandard already, though.

Title: Re: Apartment Lot roads Post by: haifen on 2010 March 31, 12:14:04 I'm repeating my question. I'm well aware that you can repaint the road each time - I was asking if there was anything else I could do since it was a VBT as well as wondering what sort of consequence there may be from doing so. I wasn't just asking if it was possible.
