Title: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: witch on 2010 February 08, 10:27:41 So I decided I would build a creepy little cottage for Poofs. Just a quick one, I thought. However grandiosity took over as usual, and it's taken me a month and a half to complete another monster lot. Yet it's still only two bedrooms, three bathrooms. Unfortunately, even wanded, it costs §135,879 furnished and §89,071 unfurnished. :D So I suppose I'd better show you some pictures.

SpellBinding in package format (http://www.box.net/shared/uzccld7uii). I'm 99% certain I got the correct package. You will need the base game, World Adventures and High End Loft Stuff. It looks too big to sit in my custom 'hoods, but exceptionally well done! Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: witch on 2010 February 09, 09:36:20 It's 40x40 - not TOO ginormous. Gowan, give it a go, you'll enjoy finding the hidden places. :P
Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: AloeOwl on 2010 February 09, 12:58:47 Doesn't look too bad; I would download it. Too bad I only have the base game.
Do you think it would be safe to download still? Without the risk of my laptop exploding in a Big Fiery Ball Visible From Space! :P Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: ooglafina on 2010 February 09, 20:00:36 Everybody needs a hidden crypt under their house. I know I do.

Is so ginormous!Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: witch on 2010 February 10, 06:14:04 @AloeOwl: Dunno, try it. Just back up first. TS2 wouldn't let you put down later lots with earlier game versions.
@Zazazu: lol! What size is your smallest lot? Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: saraswati on 2010 February 10, 08:28:01 Witch I like that. I seem to remember you telling me a few months back that you struggled with roofs. That lot looks like you're mastering them quite nicely.
Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: Zazazu on 2010 February 10, 08:30:46 @Zazazu: lol! What size is your smallest lot? 9x10, I think. It became a two-story one bedroom/one bathroom set up for roommates. I'm done with the smalls. Am working on the last section, which is between 14x17 and 20x23.As for compatibility, I've heard that worlds built with WA will not install on non-WA games. Have not heard about lots yet. Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2010 February 10, 09:28:45 You realize that building lots of nonstandard size depth makes them completely unusable for anyone else, right? Those lots can never be used out of Pumpkinland due to the dumb way the game handles depth placement.
Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: Zazazu on 2010 February 10, 23:25:03 They can be used on lots with greater depth, but tweaking is necessary and they will never look right on lots with more than two or three additional squares of depth. This isn't really my concern, though, as I'm building my 'hoods for me and sharing for karma. Kinda like Poof's house...the 40x40 size makes placement in an existing 'hood challenging, but it is awesome and it is primarily for her enjoyment.
The hidden area kind of reminds me of one of the tombs in Sim Egypt. I think it was the Tomb of Eternity? Title: Re: SpellBinding - Poofs' House Post by: witch on 2010 February 11, 06:52:31 If that's the tomb with all the plants/gardens, then yes, it did influence me. There was a lot of jiggery-pokery going on to make the garden look garden-like, but I was pleased with the effect in the end. I also went to town with lights in this house, damn near every single room has custom lights in both colour and intensity. Now if only I could be bothered playing the sodding game!
