Title: How to install The Sims 3 and its expansion in D drive? Post by: gilmar on 2010 January 11, 03:47:15 I tried installing the basic Sims 3 it in D drive and the folders are scattered around, so I put it in a new folder and changed the target. The game is able to load (thank goodness!), but then, I have problem. I had the expansion installed along in the Electronics Arts folder along with The Sims 3 folder but the game couldn't start up and it resorted into telling me 'Error in start up' and asked me to refer to the Log. For referrence, These are the sequences of the folders.
D:\Electronics Arts\The Sims 3\(All the other folders making up the game) D:\Electronics Arts\The Sims world Adventures ??? Title: Re: How to install The Sims 3 and its expansion in D drive? Post by: coconnor on 2010 January 11, 04:28:38 World Adventures should probably just be a sub-folder under D:\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, i.e. full path would be D:\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\World Adventures. I don't know if you can just create that file under your base game directory and then cut and paste all the files and folders in what is now D:\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 World Adventures into the new sub-folder, or if you will have to uninstall and reinstall the expansion pack, specifying a custom install and telling the installer to use that path.
