More Awesome Than You!

Last week, my computer died on me so I had to buy a new one with a limited budget. (The old one was 5 years old and beyond repair according to the tech guy).
I spend two hours installing TS2 and all the ep's, sp's and patches only to get this message:

"Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer."

I thought my new one would be fine running TS2 seeing as the old one ran great until it didn't do anything anymore. I already updated the drivers on the video card and tried installing directx9, but apparently it won't install over directx11. Anyway, here is a fragment of the dxdiag text:

Does anyone see what the problem might be and help me in the right direction?

I know for a fact that there's DirectX 11 on my PC and Sims 2 runs fine, so that can't be the problem. No idea about anything else, though. You may be running the default crap drivers used when no real drivers are installed.

Check to make sure your graphics card drivers are installed.

It's installed and I updated the drivers last night. I also downloaded a directx 'redist' thingie which should include dirextx9 but it's still not working and I have no idea where to look if the directx9 is actually installed now since I only see the directx11.

Is this card even compatible with TS2?

The old stand-by method for such things (and it's a pretty lousy one, but may work) is to uninstall all Direct-X components, then grab them again, perhaps starting with 9 then again to 11, if possible, while rebooting between each upgrade. I'm rather stuck in Windows XP mentality though and a lot of the tricks don't work with Vista...
